Fantastic tour. I really enjoyed the chocolate factory, and the other stops were fun too. Axel was a great tour guide as well

I had a lovely morning with Axel and can definitely recommend his tour! As it turns out, I was the only person on the tour, and enjoyed spending time with Axel learning about Guatemalan people and culture. I felt like I had a chance to see what day-to-day life is like for people living in the towns around Antigua. I enjoyed the weaving, Jade and coffee stops, and didn’t feel pressure to purchase anything. I also volunteered my services helping the women washing clothes in the communal, town, facilities, and got a great appreciation for how hard it is! Don’t expect to be visiting small villages - these are towns fairly close to Antigua.

We LOVED our tour! Our guide, Delmy, and driver, Axel, were so friendly and kind and knowledgeable. The personal interactions made our time so wonderful. We felt that we begun to understand some of the Guatemalan culture and history. Seeing traditional weaving at a school, cacao production, and we lucked into a harvest festival was truly an added benefit to our trip. The only critique is that the description on Viator was not complete. We believe more people would sign up if they truly understood what they would experience.

This was an amazing tour. Axel was a great guide and he provided tons of information about all of the town that we visited. He took the time to ask me what I was interested in seeing, and he took me to lots of different local vendors so that I could buy textiles and other Guatemalan gifts for myself and for my family. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in seeing the small towns around Antigua and learning more about Guatemalan culture.

Axel is an excellent guide. We visited a weaving school, several small towns, an artisanal chocolate store, a woman coffee farmer, saw many churches, and a town fiesta, and had a great time doing so. I enjoyed learning more about the local history, culture and customs. I highly recommend this tour with Axel. And I got a small gift at the end!

I was lucky that Axel was my guide through this tour among four villages: San Antonio’s Aguas Clientes, San Miguel Dueñas, San Pedro las Huertas, and San Juan del Obispo. Axel is professional and knowledgeable. He did the tour with dedication and care. I visited 4 small local farms/factories. The people I met and their hand crafted/produced items are the best.
