The sympathetic young lady who accompanied the tour of the Diamen and Jewish Quarter was just great. She has enormous knowledge and we were enthusiastic about leadership.

Tina provided an excellent overview of the history of the Diamond District and thorough tour of the Diamond District and the Jewish areas surrounding the Diamond District. I was able to enter the Portuguese Synagogue during the tour and we visited two Kosher bakeries and a few Judaic shoos. Tina is an excellent and informative guide. I really enjoyed this tour.

This tour included three stops: the railroad station, the diamond district and the Jewish quarter. The first part of the tour was certainly not a Jewish tour as compared to the end. We visited a community center, two bakeries, a deli, a Judaica store and a Holocaust monument. Out of the 10 of us, we (two couples) were the only Jewish people who knew more than the guide. We were happy to relate some honest information on our laws and customs. The guide was very nice and understanding; I believe she realized she was out of her element by reading her notes from a book.

Seeing the architecture of the Central Station. The knowledge of our tour leader. Observing the old world conditions and culture being followed by the ultra orthodox.
