The charming Pernera Fishing Shelter, home to 80 traditional fishing boats, will be integrated into the waterspace of Paralimni Marina, providing additional protection to the local fleet. Agios Nikolaos is the patron Saint of sailors as many of his miracles are related to the sea. This therefore is the reason for building the little chapel next to the fishing harbour of Pernera as locals believe that he is protecting the boats and their crew.
Pernera Beach
Pernera is a popular coastal area known for having the best beaches on the island, it combines traditional Mediterranean charm, stunning natural beauty and European standards of living. Pernera beach hotel was the first hotel built in the area after the Turkish Invasion of 1974.

Good experience - informative, short and stunning swim stops. Varied mix of people (younger, older, families...etc. made it a nice atmosphere). Staff were friendly and tried to spot turtles for the visitors. It's quite a short trip but I think thats because most the main swim stops are very near Protaras anyway.

Great boat trip and good value for money. Guide was clear and facilities were good. Swim spots were good. We didn’t get to see the turtles however this can’t be helped and was probably too early in the year for them.
