What To Expect

Apukunaq Tianan

FROM CUSCO TO SENCCA Our tour will begin at the door of your hotel in Cusco. Our private transport at the agreed time will pick you up. Then we will go to the north of the imperial city arriving at the town of Sencca 13 km from Cusco and a 45-minute trip from where we will have an impressive panoramic view of all the sculptures. VISIT TO APUKUNAQ TIANAN You will walk for 5 minutes to be at the foot of the fantastic sculptures of the Andean gods and take incredible photographs, among the most outstanding sculptures are The puma, the three-dimensional door, the Apu Protector or God Wiracocha, the Pachamama, among others, as well as a fantastic viewpoint. In addition, our guide will provide you with valuable knowledge about the Andean cosmology and legends of the Inca period. At the end of the tour, you will return to the city of Cusco. Where our transportation will take you to your respective hotel.

Great place to visit on the outskirts of Cusco. Modern carvings into cliff with steps and small parking place. Currently being expanded with cafe and other items of interest.

The tour guide was really good at communicating with us for pick up. We were picked up a few minutes early. The guide talked and pointed to things along the 20 minute car ride to Apukunaq Tianan. Once we arrived we had to pay the entrance fee separately from the tour. This place started 5 years ago and won’t be finished for another 2 years. It was really cool and we had the whole place to ourselves. The guide took us to one other spot close to our hotel before dropping us back off. It only took 1 hour and 40 minutes, not 3 hours. The driver and guide were both really great and it was cool to see the place without a lot of others.

We did the tour to the Abode of the Gods very close to Cusco. It is short-lived (1h 30min approximately), it is currently under construction so there are areas that are not yet accessible, but you can look and take photographs of the sculptures that have been made. We went with the guide Alejandro, he was very friendly and knows a lot about the city and the Inca culture, he solved all the doubts we had. We totally recommend it!!
