Fantastic experience, fascinating nature and animals on this tour. The host Mr. Guillermo was very welcoming, kind, respectful, the food he prepared us after the tour was done with lots of care and was spectacular. We highly recommend the visit with the wonderful and knowledgeable Mr. David, the local tour guide who has the professional equipment for you to see the birds and animals that are hard to see with bare eyes because of the distance. You can walk on your own but you will miss a lot of the wild life on the way. We loved this Park's experience and we highly recommend it to everyone. Because of the humidity and rainy season we recommend long sleeves and pants, no shorts and a lot of mosquito repellent. Excellent tour!!! Thank you Mr. Guillermo and Mr. David, you were both wonderful!!!! Dalma and Antonio

We had a fantastic time at the Monkey Park in La Fortuna! We saw a group of capuchin monkeys, an owl, a coati, and more. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend visiting this park!

This was such an amazing cultural experience! I highly recommend it! I loved it so much that when I come back with my dad I will definitely be bringing him here. Everyone was extremely polite and very accommodating. They were all so friendly and full of knowledge. The monkeys were great! We loved seeing them in the wild. The farm aspect was so beautiful and very informative. It was very interactive, we really loved how we were able to get to see everything 1st hand. To get a better understanding of Costa Ricas agriculture and how it effects the rest of the world is very humbling and sheds a new perspective of how blessed we truly are. The food was super delicious! 👌

Our tour guide John picked us up at our hotel at 6:45am and we drove about 20 minutes to Monkey Park, a working farm where they grow yucca, yams, coconuts, green plantains, and more. Guillermo made us a delicious breakfast of bean empanadas and coffee and we were able to help with the preparation. We then toured the farm on a trailer pulled by a tractor. We stopped several times along the way and learned about the crops that are grown as well as the pura vida way of life for the local farmers. A highlight was feeding yucca to the cows. Then Guillermo made some delicious yucca fritters for us and we drove to the Balsa River for our two hour rafting trip. There was a place to change and you could leave your stuff in the tour van. Rocky, our guide, was very experienced, a great communicator, and took great care of my 10-year-old son, so I felt very safe. I had never rafted before and it was lots of fun and only moderately strenuous. We stopped halfway through and had some pineapples, papayas, and oranges. After rafting, we returned to Monkey Park and had a delicious "casado" lunch of beef, chicken, or fish, with rice and beans and condiments. All-in-all a wonderful way to spend the day and see the area. We got home after 3pm so I would give it more like 8 hours in total including driving and some waiting time between activities. Throughout the day we saw vultures, toucans, monkeys, and sloths in the trees. I recommend bringing money to tip the various staff members or if you want to buy professional-quality pictures from Brian, the rafting tour operator.
