The Arenal volcano is one of the most beautiful volcanos in the world with the perfect cone shape. We hike around and the closest we can get legally to the volcano where we walk on the last eruption and take pictures of the landscape. After the lava field walk we will get into the forest to try to find the wildlife of the region like monkeys, sloths, tucans, snakes, frogs, anteaters, wild pigs and much more. Your guides born and raised here know the area well enough to explain and answer your questions and you will also learn a lot about the history of the volcano and surroundings. Pura vida.

5.00This hike and the entire experience guided by Emmanuel was nothing short of breathtaking. Emmanuel is very knowledgeable about the history of Costa Rica, the volcanos and the beautiful culture and people of Costa Rica. If you are taking an excursion not guided by Emmanuel you are taking the wrong one. This is 100/10.

5.00Not all tours are the same: some you follow, others you actually experience. This one definitely belongs to the second category. Emmanuel has a very sharp eye for wildlife and an attentive, intuitive way of guiding. What I particularly appreciated was the balance: very informative, yet relaxed. If you’re looking for something beyond just “seeing animals” - something a bit more immersive - Emmanuel is a very good choice. Overall, a genuinely great experience.

5.00This was one of the best hikes we’ve ever done, and that was largely because of Emmanuel! He is an incredible guide. He has so much knowledge and passion for Costa Rica, its nature, and animals, and we learnt so much from him. He went out of his way to find us monkeys, toucans, sloths, and all kinds of birds on our hike. We would not have been able to find them without him. He is also incredibly kind and funny, and we had a great time with him. We even got lunch together after! Highly recommend to anyone thinking of doing any hike or nature activities in CR!

5.00My husband and I went on two trips with Emanuel: 1) trekking to the Arenal Volcano and 2) trekking in the forest in search of sloths. Thanks to him, we spotted many animals we wouldn't have seen on our own. He shared his knowledge with us, and you could tell he loved this place and nature. These were our best days in Costa Rica!

5.00The hike and the whole day with Emmanuel was amazing. We hiked through the rainforest, saw the volcanos, dipped in the waterfalls! The works! You can see he was born to be a guide and loves nature. Seeing the rain forest through his eyes was a true experience! I was there with my friends for my 50th birthday and it was magical! Highly recommended!
