Garni
The journey begins with a visit to Garni Temple, the only standing pagan temple in Armenia, built in the 1st century AD and dedicated to Mihr. Set above the Azat River gorge, it offers stunning views and reflects Armenia’s pre-Christian heritage. Nearby, we explore the Symphony of Stones, a remarkable natural formation of basalt columns resembling giant organ pipes. The tour continues with a visit to a local house for a lavash baking master class. You will discover the traditional preparation of Armenia’s famous flatbread, baked in a tonir, and enjoy a simple local lunch with fresh lavash and cheese. We then visit Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO-listed complex partly carved into the cliffs, dating back to the 13th century and known for its unique architecture and spiritual atmosphere.
Sevan
The journey then continues to Lake Sevan, often called the “Pearl of Armenia” and one of the largest high-altitude freshwater lakes in the world. Located at around 1,900 meters above sea level, the lake is famous for its crystal-clear blue waters and stunning mountain scenery, offering a peaceful and picturesque setting. Here, we will visit Sevanavank Monastery, located on the Sevan Peninsula. Once an island, the area became a peninsula due to changes in the lake’s water level. The monastery provides not only historical insight but also panoramic views over Lake Sevan.

It is one of the world’s oldest Christian cathedrals and a powerful symbol of Armenian faith and identity. We then continue to the Zvartnots Temple, a 7th-century architectural masterpiece built by Nerses the Builder. Although now in ruins, the site impresses with its unique circular design and remains one of Armenia’s most remarkable historical monuments.
