Embark on a guided street photography tour of Vancouver, beginning at the Vancouver Art Gallery's šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square. Capture the architecture of the gallery and the energy of the square amidst urban landscapes. Explore light, shadows, reflections, and other classic street photography techniques.

Continue down Granville Street, documenting the dynamic street scenes, vibrant storefronts, colorful alleys, and the diverse mix of people. Visit the striking Central Library with its mix of modern and classical architecture.

We will conclude our tour by stopping at some of our favourite spots on Robson Street, to capture the dynamic flow of shoppers.

What To Expect

Vancouver Downtown

We will begin our photographic exploration in Downtown Vancouver which offers endless opportunities to capture candid moments of city life. We will observe the rhythm of the city as people rush by and seize the chance to freeze a fleeting glance, a spontaneous gesture, or an interaction between strangers that embodies the essence of urban life. Here we will focus on the interplay of light and shadows silhouettes, reflections and shadows as we use the urban built environment to compose images.

Unique experience with local street photographers who will lead you to some excellent spots and guide you on how to achieve the most interesting and well-executed shot that you’re capable of! Chris and Jake were so kind and patient and gave me so many ideas to take into my future photography efforts. The 2 hours flew by and was lots of fun. My husband isn’t a photographer but enjoyed the walk and chatting about the local area. I returned to some of the spots the next day and tried again as was so inspired. Highly recommended.

I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in urban photography. The guides were very friendly. They had a ton of knowledge. They start by asking your interests and then plan the tour around that

This was my first "street photography " experience versus just pursuing architecture. Chris and Jake were very gracious hosts. They were enthusiastic and well informed. They shared some great tips and techniques that helped me capture new compositions that I had not done so before.

Chris and Jake were absolutely brilliant guides, adjusting the tour to my interests alongside their experience. A wonderful way to start my trip to Vancouver.
