It was a wonderful experience. Our guide Marcus was very knowledgeable. He kept the pace none too harsh. He remained careful about our safety. It was nice to have some tea and snack at the top.

Marcus was a great guide- informative about the area and thoughtful with a Scottish treat on the summit. There were plenty of breaks and Marcus was intentional about checking in on how everyone was doing to ensure hikers of different abilities were doing okay. I especially appreciated how friendly Marcus was- that made for an even better experience! This was my favorite experience in all of Edinburgh- highly, highly recommend!!

Wow the view is worth the hike. We were told expect it to take about 45 minutes, it took us an hour but we took a couple breaks on the way up. Wear good shoes, the trail is a mix of stone/sand and rock. Could be slippery in places.

We went in a small group with Marcus as our guide. He obviously loves his job and great at providing a backdrop of history plus nature. He was also fantastic about having pre planned stops to allow for questions and to catch your breath.

The walk was very interesting with a range of routes and views both there and back. They adapted to people with different hiking/walking skill sets and we stopped a range of times for rest breaks and photo opportunities. The guide was very welcoming and social.

Nice guide, breathtaking views. Nice, small group unlike the massive herds of people that get herded around in most tours in Edinburgh.
