What To Expect
Change of Guards
After meeting with our tour leader weyou will start today's tour by visiting the Greek Parliement to watch the famous change of guards.This ceremony is performed by the Greek " Evzones" soldiers and it is dedicated to the "Tomb of the unknown soldier". Our host will explain the symbolism of the ceremony and will provide all details about the the Greek Parliament building.
Plaka
Walk around the famous "Plaka area" and pass by the famous "Metropolitan Cathedrall" of Athens. Short stop a the oldest house of Athens which is well restored and ready to give you great photos.

5.00I wish I could remember the young woman’s name who gave us the tour, but I can’t recall it at the moment. She was an archaeologist by trade, and the tour was amazing—even though we hadn’t booked a private experience on purpose. It turned out to be one of the best things we did. The guide was very friendly, she was punctual, and we were free to go at our own pace. We saw so many things in just one day before our cruise. I definitely recommend this experience, because as a tourist it would be nearly impossible to fit all of this in on your own. The highlight for me was the authentic dinner she recommended. We wouldn’t have chosen those dishes on our own, but they were 10 out of 10. I enjoy group tours because they’re a great way to meet people from all over the world, but it was also wonderful not to have a large dinner party. The experience felt very personable, and we were able to wrap up quickly so we could get up early the next morning and prepare for our cruise.

5.00Theo was the most knowledgable guide I have ever met - passionate about his country,city and the tour itself. Smooth organisation, extensive tour of all the major sites and a few that would be impossible to discover alone. A really special tour with a meal to match - great food and more expertise from Theo in menu selection. Do yourself a favour and book this tour - it changed our opinion of the city ( for the better !!)

5.00Teddy was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. He ensures that the members of the tour group were engaged and didn't get lost. The restaurant, I Avli Tis Idylis, was delicious and portion sizes were large. My only critique would be in order to minimize food waste perhaps have the appetizer and salad be chosen in advance (e.g. for a group of 10 order 3 appetizers and 3 salads to be shared by the table) then have each person choose an appetizer. Overall, great experience you will leave the tour more knowledgeable and quite full.

5.00First of all, our tour guide George was wonderful. So knowledgeable, friendly, answered any questions the group had. I am recovering from knee surgery and we did walk a lot of steps. George always offered his hand if I needed help. Seeing these beautiful places lit up at night was just beautiful. George always made sure everyone was keeping up and we were never rushed. Changing of the guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier was so interesting! We really felt immersed in the culture. Our group consisted of 9 people which was great. Small groups are the way to go! George took us to this amazing restaurant for dinner. We all talked and really got to know each other. The food was amazing! I told him he was the best guide we ever had. Such a great guy. I would totally suggest taking this tour. It was wonderful.

5.00Our guide, Danae, was truly outstanding. During our walk, we were able to maneuver with ease through some very beautiful areas overlooking the Agora of Athens and the Agora of Rome. From there, Dayae escorted us down to the Thissia region where we had our dinner. At both locations she guided us to the best locations to take stunning photos, including the Acropolis as it was lit up at night.
