Our tour will help you meet the Greek culture, the Greek history and the the Greek mentality in a day! Starting with the Acropolis hill, you will admire the most perfect of all temples in antiquity, the outcome of democracy.
Next comes a drive in the modern city to see the Temple of the king of God's, the 1896 Olympic Stadium and of course the changing of the guard and the Parliament House.
After that we will head to the Ancient Agora to get closer to the best preserved temple in Greece, the temple for Hyphaistus! You will be hungry by then so we will have a stop to enjoy an authentic Greek lunch in one of the neighborhoods close to the city centre.
Once ready our last stop will be the New Acropolis Museum, the best Museum in Greece that holds the marble statues and sculptures once standing on the Parthenon.
After the Museum we will follow our way back to the port and drop you off at your cruise terminal.

The drive from your Cruise terminal to the city and from the city centre back to the port is 30 minutes for each ride.

What To Expect
Acropolis
Climb up the Acropolis hill to see the famous Parthenon, temple for Goddess Athens standing above the city. The Erechthion, partialy dedicated to Poseidon, the God of the Ocean and of course the monumental gateway of the Acropolis fortress.
Changing of the Guard Ceremony
Next stop will be the changing of the guard at the old Palace above the central square of Athens. Witness the Evzones unit of the Greek Army guarding with discipline the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

5.00We had a fantastic day with Eleni in Athens. Visiting the Acropolis and Parthenon with a private guide is absolutely the way to go. She had so much knowledge and information to share with us and it made our visit an exciting learning experience. We had a delicious lunch in Athens-off the beaten path and were able to enjoy a lovely experience. I would recommend-book this tour (with Eleni specifically) again without any hesitation. We have a 16 and 14 yrs old kids, so she asked us if the information shared was good or if we wanted less or more, We saw all the important areas and she had photos to show us what the places look back in the days, We also went to a local restaurant she suggested. Nice, friendly and affordable place.
