What To Expect
An adventure to the Mayan underworld where you’ll learn about Mayan mythology and caves formations. Minimum number of participants: 2. If you are traveling along, you can pay for two. ITINERARY 5:00 a.m. – We will meet you and pick you up at your hotel. 6:30 a.m. – Arrive at the Guatemala border and proceed through customs. 6:45 a.m. – Proceed through Belize customs. 7:15 a.m. – Drive to San Ignacio, Belize. 7:45 a.m. – Arrive in San Ignacio and drive to the ATM cave for our tour. 4:00 p.m. – Arrive back in San Ignacio and continue to the border crossing 4:30 p.m. – Depart from Belize and enter Guatemala. 6:00 p.m. – Arrive back at your hotel in Flores or Tikal. IMPORTANT INFORMATION You must be taller than 40 inches (1.02 meters) to go in the caves. It’s best if you know how to swim since there will be water inside the cave. 5.00Elmer was so helpful in getting us through the border crossing, which is a bit confusing especially because our español no es bueno! We were then picked up by a tour guide in Belize who was extremely knowledgeable and knew the names of all the plants and animals in both Spanish and English as well as their scientific names! The cave was amazing and we were one of the first groups in which was cool as we got to turn our lights off and experience total darkness. The history and culture was so interesting and learning all about the Mayan rituals was fascinating. Afterwards, the lunch was one of the best meals I have had all trip! Then to top it all off Elmer offered to drive us to our next hotel in the Tikal National Park and helped us sort out all the tickets for our upcoming Tikal tours.

5.00The tour was totally well organized from start to finish and everything was very professional. The guide at the Caves itself was with one of the best I ever had. I would book again anytime with this company, it is worth paying a little more.

5.00Incredible experience! I am from NY and went with my girlfriend. The crew could not have been nicer and more helpful. The picked us up from our hostel in Flores and drove us to the border. Then walked with us through the border, helped us get through customs, and waited for us for the another guide to get us in Belize. The next guide, picked up the cave tour guide and we then went to the cave. They couldn't have been more friendly and relaxing. The cave was an awesome and raw experience. The tour guide was super enthusiastic when telling us the history and knowledgable. They gave us lunch, drove us back to the border, and then back to our hostel in Flores. Honestly, could not been a smoother execution and better experience.
