[DEPARTURE] Booked times are tentative and may change due to schedule at the Auschwitz Museum and traffic conditions.
[DOCUMENTS] **Full names of all participants MUST be provided during booking (the same as on ID or passport, no nicknames). Passport or ID is MANDATORY for each participant and will be checked. No ID = NO ENTRY!**
[VISIT] Guided group tour only, no individual pacing. Respectful behavior and smart casual dress required. Eating, smoking, and loud behavior are not allowed.
[PICKUP] Some Krakow hotels are in traffic-restricted zones. Pickup will be arranged from the nearest accessible point and you will be informed in advance.
[LUNCH] Lunch is not included. There is no time for a full meal between visits, and no food facilities on-site, so please bring a snack.
[SECURITY] An airport-style security check is required before entering the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.
[WEATHER] The tour runs in all weather. Up to 70% of the visit takes place outdoors, so please dress appropriately and bring water on warm days.
[CHILDREN] Children must be accompanied by an adult. Infant seats are available. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, the tour is recommended for ages 13+.
[PHOTOS] Photography is allowed except in marked areas. Flash is not permitted inside buildings.
[RENOVATIONS] Due to roadworks in western Krakow, pickups in that area are not possible. The Straszewskiego 19 meeting point is temporarily closed. We will arrange a nearby alternative if needed.
What To Expect
Krakow
Your tour begins with transportation from Krakow (hotel or address you specified). Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum is located in the town Oswiecim, about 1h15min in one way (65km). Every driver we cooperate with has all required by EU permissions for passenger transport. An English speaking and friendly leader of the group will assist you at any time you need. After arriving in Oswiecim, have a short break to grab a coffee or keep an eye on outdoor exhibitions.Then be kindly introduced to your local and professional guide who is licensed by Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.
Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau
Start your tour by walking through the gate to the first camp - Auschwitz I - originally conceived as a concentration camp, to be used as a detention centre for the many Polish citizens arrested after Germany annexed the country in 1939, with the most recognizable sign Arbeit Macht Frei (Work Makes You Free).This part usually takes 2 hours and you will be using a headset to hear your guide clearly. The group according to the Museum’s rule counts up to 30 people making the visit comfortable and accessible for every participant. Visit the original wooden buildings, fortified walls, barbed wires, gas chambers and crematoria - all of those leave a shocking impression allowing to imagine the scale of Holocaust.

5.00Booked direct with Hello cracow , we had excellent communication and advice from first contact, (received detailed confirmation day before the tour) on the day the bus arrived on time and was well organised by Ermir , driver was also good , we also had a very good tour guide for Autschwitz, only issue we had was im 6ft2 and it was tight in the bus seats , apart from that we cannot fault this company

5.00An excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide. Pawel was excellent throughout the entire tour and the level of information he gave in each of the locations was excellent. Pick up from our hotel was on time and we had a little stop off just before the tour started to get a bite to eat. Anyone visiting Auschwitz then this tour is definitely worth booking.

5.00We had a good experience on the trip. The pick up location and time were shared with us with plenty of notice and was easy to find on the day. The host was very friendly and organised and gave clear meeting points and instructions for the tour. Our tour guide was amazing for walking us around the site, she was so knowledgeable and sensitive with the nature of the museum. Although the museum was really busy it was so well structured and organised that it never felt like it was crowded or that you were rushed around from place to place. I would definitely recommend this tour for future visitors

3.00The amount of stars is for the company HelloCracow, NOT the Auschwitz-Birkenau tour. The tour itself was, well there really isnt the correct word for it. The atmosphere is heavy but the official guide was extremely respectful and informative. I would 100% recommend going. Its an extremely important, devastating part of history. The company running it however... This is NOT a hotel pick up as stated and despite confirmation. Luckily we were not far from the bus stop. We got a call from the leader Lera which was appreciated. Before the return trip, we were given a break and told to meet back at the bus at 11.40. We chose to go and sit in the shade in the car park as it was around 27 degrees. We headed back to the coach just before 11.30 - ten minutes early - for Lera to be looking for us and throwing her arms in the air impatiently. I asked if we'd gotten the time wrong but was told we were the last back and were made to feel like criminals.

5.00This was an exceptionally well organised tour. The bus picked us up on time and the driver gave very clear commentary on what to expect when we got there. He was polite and helpful all through the journey. The guide was brilliant...had read reviews about guided tours being rushed etc. couldn't say that here.. he explained everything clearly in very good English...when moving from place to place he told the group to take their time as safety was a priority and continued when everyone had gathered together. A definite 5 stars to Hello Cracow.

5.00A time in history that should NEVER be forgotten. The visit was emotioally difficult, but necessary. The camps were massive and the treatment of innocent people was unbelievably horrific. A visit to Poland should include a visit to Auschwitz Bircanau.

5.00Would recommend this smaller tour, we had 8 in our van and joined another similar size group. Long day, picked up 10.20am and dropped back around 6pm but well worth it. Very emotional visit 😢
