The largest death camp in human history, an infamous site of genocide, Auschwitz-Birkenau is synonymous with the worst atrocities ever committed. Arrive via transfer from Krakow and learn about the tragic history of this place with a live guide.
The camp was built by the Nazis in 1940 in the suburbs of Oswiecim. The total number of deaths is estimated at over 1.1 million people, most of them Jewish, representing 28 nationalities.
Choose a combined tour to visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine following the Auschwitz visit and a lunch break.
A treasured monument of Polish cultural history, the vast medieval salt mine has over a million visitors yearly. The miners left dozens of sculptures and bas-reliefs cut out of the salt, keeping their work alive for many further years. There are 800 steps to climb, and 350 at the beginning take you down into the mine. There's a lift to the top of the mine at the end of the route.

What To Expect
Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau
This stop includes a 20 minute break followed by a visit to the permanent exhibition in the former prisoner blocks of Auschwitz I, the mother camp.
The second part of the Auschwitz camp complex is Birkenau, the former extermination camp and the largest prisoner camp built by the Nazi regime in Europe. After the visit, there will be a break of up to 20 min.

5.00The experience off our trip was great. I am glad I went . Heartbreaking as it was Auschwitz Berkenau think everyone should go and see this . How people lived suffered list their lives 😭😭 . The salt mines was fabulous I loved it and all the walking it was out of this world . Great atmosphere. Group sizes were fine I thought. Thanks Jordan our driver who took us there and back . He was very pleasant nothing to much trouble for him. Great chatting with him and his knowledge was good to. The price was fine worth every penny. The visit time and length was great even though long day we enjoyed it so time went in. Thanks for our trip we will recommend it to friends and family.😘😀🎄⛄❤️

Even though we had a small problem at the beginning of the day, he didn’t leave us behind and made sure we could continue with all our planned visits without any trouble.
