We boarded the bus at 9:30 a.m. For what we were told was a one hour trip to the zoo. Due to an accident on the highway we did not arrive at the zoo until 12:37 p.m. We were able to see the main crocodile show but little else as we were asked to return to the bus early, a little before 3 p.m., due to traffic concerns on returning to the ship. Thus, rather than five hours at the zoo we had only 2 hours and 20 minutes. The accident was completely out of the control of the excursion staff of the ship. We asked the excursion staff for some form of consideration due to the short time at the zoo. We were told very politely and respectfully that no consideration could be offered. Do you feel we should have been offered some sort of compensation due to the lost time at the venue or is the ship blameless due to factors out of their control?

Enjoy the bus ride and the walk around the zoo including the animal hospital. The croc show was the best part, though it was raining.

Easy and convenient way to get to Australia Zoo. The trip length is more than enough to see everything. The bus driver shared good tips for seeing the entire park.

The driver, Steve, was amazing! He was funny, told great stories and was quite informative about local culture, history and amenities. I would definitely recommend booking through a shuttle tour especially if you're not renting a car. It's a great convenience not having to worry about transportation and navigating between the city and the zoo. The zoo was incredible, lots to see. I missed out on booking a close encounter, (upfront visitation with animals and a handler). Definitely need to book those a few months out depending on which animals you'd like to see. Otherwise I did get to pet a koala and feed kangaroos. If you get there right when the zoo opens, head straight to customer service to buy the Roo food ($3 AUD) and then to the kangaroo paddock. You'll get a kangaroo to feed all to yourself and they'll be hungry. They're full later in the day. The Warrior show was spectacular. Pay attention to which direction the sun is going so your stats aren't out on the hot sun during the show.

We thought this would simply a transfer to and from the zoo but how wrong we were. During the journey there we were informed and entertained in equal measure by the driver and he made a real difference. Explained to us the best way of getting round the zoo and even took us to the hospital 1st. Highly recommended
