Manastirea Curchi
Nestled among picturesque hills covered with centuries-old oak forests and located on the banks of the Vatich River, Curchi Monastery is one of Moldova’s main attractions and a 17th-century architectural gem. The monastery is spread across two terraces: the upper terrace hosts the monastery itself and other buildings, while the lower terrace features a stone pond. The architectural ensemble includes two churches, nine various structures (including monks' cells), a large garden, and a stone pool.
Old Orhei
Old Orhei is a place steeped in mysteries, legends, and breathtaking views. Located just 45–50 minutes from the capital, Chișinău, Old Orhei is a must-see for those interested in history, authentic architecture, stunning landscapes, and local culinary traditions. Monastery of the Nativity of the Virgin: Dating back to the 15th–16th centuries. Peștera Hermitage: Part of the Butuceni rock complex, it includes a church, 11 monks' cells, a bell tower, and a massive stone cross. Pîrcălab Bosie Monastery: This 17th-century rock monastery complex includes a cave church and nine monks' cells located 25 meters high. It is notable for medieval inscriptions in Cyrillic, preserved in Slavic and Romanian languages, which are unique to Moldova.
Cricova Winery
(guided tour + tasting of 5–6 wines) Cricova is a unique underground wine complex famous worldwide for its vast labyrinths and exceptional wines. The Cricova wine cellars are the second-largest in Moldova, after Milestii Mici (the largest in the world). The cellars have hosted prominent figures like Nikita Khrushchev, Leonid Brezhnev, Mao Zedong, Kim Il-Sung, Jacques Chirac, Angela Merkel, and Yuri Gagarin.
