This was an amazing and relaxed tour, stopping to taste authentic food every little bit was wonderful. We enjoyed it so much we booked a sister tour for the next day.

We enjoyed learning about the cultural aspects of Puerto Rico through the food we ate at each restaurant. Diego our guide was very informative and we would recommend booking with him for future customers.

Great tour! Danny was so welcoming and full of knowledge about both the food scene as well as the history of Old San Juan. Great way to start a vacation and get ideas for the rest of your stay. Would highly recommend and ask for Danny R!

First, the guide Andres was amazing. He was fabulous and funny, and very energetic and did a great job of keeping out folks together. The places that you picked were very good, but some were better than others, so, although I’m giving a five star review, I’m also giving you some ideas below on which food stops were better than others and some suggestions. Also, it would be great to have more beverage options. I had read other reviews that echo what I’m feeling as well (that there was not enough opportunity for other beverages on the tour) so here is my detailed breakdown. Again, the guide, Andres, was spot on, 100%, enthusiastic, funny, loved him! He is a keeper! The suggestions below have nothing to do with our guide. They just have to deal with the stops. Please keep in mind that I used to be a tour guide, and so I understand it’s difficult when you have a big group and the rooms are limited, and, of course, the food offerings are limited, but here are some of my suggestions. 1. I really loved the first stop (cuarto sombras) and thought the combination of the coffee and the ham and cheese croissant was wonderful. And especially with the guava butter. It was a nice introduction to the culture of Puerto Rico and some of the history, but the food was also substantial. It was my favorite stop. And most other people said that as well. You don’t want your favorite stop to be the first stop, because you don’t want to end the tour on your least favorite stop! 2. The second stop was good, cafe el punto, and the ceviche was good. I loved the room we were in. It felt special, with all of the artwork. I think it would’ve been nice for Us to be able to wander around that space a little bit more, because It was a fun building with a lot of crafts and other elements that would’ve been interesting to take a look at for five minutes. I understand once you let folks walk around for five minutes it’s hard to corral everybody back! I’m wondering if that stop could’ve had some sort of special beverage. It would’ve been easy to serve, because he came out with individual cups for water and pitchers of Water. Even something like a batch-made Tamarindo or a Horchata or something even more in keeping with the African/Puerto Rican fusion. We did have water, but a little special beverage would’ve been sweet, And I think it would’ve really elevated that spot to be a favorite 3. Señor paleta. Again, this was a wonderful opportunity to have a paleta and to walk around, and to be in the shade a little bit while we were having a cold treat. I’d love the concept! And I used to look forward to the Paleta truck coming to my work in San Francisco. And picking a flavor! But we only had one flavor. I understand you arrive at the stop and you say “I’m here with 12 people and I need my paletas.” But it would’ve been nice to be able to have maybe two options, rather than just one flavor. 3. The 4th stop (el patio del Sam), where we made our own mofungo was the most disappointing. We’ve had excellent Puerto Rican food, and this was just… bland. The concept of making your own Mofongo was really fun. But even the location of our group, against the back of the wall at one long table, felt a bit sterile. The piña coladas here were good, but nothing to write home about. 4. The Choco bar stop was excellent! What a wonderful history and story. But again, this is where we could’ve done with another beverage. I love the Chocolate and the great story about the comic books. Also, I understand it’s difficult to get a room, but this place suffered from the same problem as the last one, the room we were sitting in was right next to the bathrooms, it even had a bit of a funny smell. But I know that it’s tricky to get a table for everybody where our guide is talking loudly about the history and we’re not disturbing other customers. This is a tricky one. Because if you were right upfront, when people were walking in, it would be hard to hear him. Too bad the bathroom was in the back. I loved the comic books on the walls. And it was great for him to be able to explain it. If you added a beverage here, a choco martini or even a mocktail, it would really make a difference, because remember this is your last stop! If you want people to have a wonderful impression, feed them the chocolate, but also give them a wonderful beverage as their last taste of the tour! If you look at adding an adult beverage there, it’s only $14 pp and adding something like a Tamarindo or a Horchata at the other spot would probably be much less than that if they make it in a batch! Just adding those two beverages would really elevate the tour, and not be that big of a cost to you.

Miguel was an excellent tour guide. Answered any and all questions we asked and showed us some historic sites along the way. All food was delicious and worth the try. 10/10 experience and would go again!! For future attendees, we recommend bringing a bottle of water with you since drinks are not abundant on this tour.

Way overpriced, I can not believe that I paid $165 for that.
