Experience the Amazing World of Authentic Malaysian Food in Kampung Baru. A visit to the Kampung Baru neighborhood is a wonderful opportunity to step back in time to experience early 20th-century Kuala Lumpur. Kampung Baru is actually a traditional Malaysian residential area that was established more than 100 years ago. Many of the dwellings are wooden houses built on short stilts and though they are in the heart of the city, dwarfed by gleaming skyscrapers, there is very much a rural village feel to the place. We will visit the very special Food Street in Kampung Baru where will try Delicious Malaysian Delicacies, from sweet to savory and from drinks to desserts, and even taste the king of fruit Durian (Subject to seasonal availability) You'll be pleasantly surprised to see how much delicious food is available on the same street. Please bring a good appetite because we gonna go on a Street Food Tasting Marathon :)

This experience is pure authentic Malaysian food from reputable street food vendors just the way to indulge in the truly culture of Malaysia. Malik took us through the streets tasting lots of delicious food (deserts, satay, drinks, fruits and the must try for everyone visiting Malaysia, Dorian. Malik gave us excellent education about the city, people and the foods origination and most of all the full knowledge of the national fruit Dorian and how you should eat it:). Very knowledgeable and kind young gentleman:).

Wow. Malik’s tour was incredible. From the minute we met him, he was friendly and informative. He gave us a history of Kuala Lumpur and background to the food we were trying. The food was fantastic. We were in the heart of Malaysian street food territory and sampled the best of all that the vendors had to offer. Malik knew his stuff, shared his knowledge and looked after us so well. We ate so well and no one was left hungry. A great experience which I would definitely recommend.

Very good value for money. Malik met as promptly as described in his welcome message on booking. The tour was about 3 hours and we experienced many different foods, non-alcoholic drinks and vendors (don't eat all day beforehand!). We got to see a part of KL we probably would not have on our short stopover. Extra bonus of Ramadan market because of time of year. Wear comfortable shoes - it is a lot of walking but all level access. Malik leaves you at a very easy point to get into the city centre.

Just finished this tour. Mixed group of 8 and a really nice friendly bunch. Malik walks quickly in order to get so much food in! An amazing array from savoury to sweet, different fruits, unusual drinks and you leave absolutely stuffed! Gave us a real insight into where the locals eat and will give us confidence to explore ourselves.
