"Unlike standard city tours, we take you into the heart of a real Uzbek home for a truly private and intimate experience. You won't just watch; you’ll learn the ancient techniques of Samarkand Plov-making directly from a local family using a traditional wood-fired kazan. Because this is a private activity, we move at your pace, allowing you to engage deeply with village life, ask questions, and customize the day to your interests—whether that’s spending more time in the local gardens or learning extra Uzbek recipes. It’s more than a tour; it’s a genuine cultural exchange."

What You'll Do? Leave the tourist crowds behind and journey into a traditional Uzbek village for an immersive day of culture and cuisine. Village Life & Heritage: We’ll begin with a guided walk through a local village near Samarkand. You’ll see how families have lived for generations, visit local gardens, and learn about the unique customs of rural Uzbekistan. The Art of Samarkand Plov: Join a local family in their home to learn the secrets of Samarkand Plov. Under the guidance of a master cook, you’ll help prepare the ingredients—slicing yellow carrots and layering the meat and rice—all cooked in a traditional cast-iron kazan over an open wood fire. A Shared Feast: While the Plov simmers, enjoy traditional Uzbek tea, local bread (non), and seasonal appetizers. Finally, we’ll sit together to enjoy the Plov you helped create, followed by homemade sweets and local stories. This isn't just a cooking class; it’s an invitation into the warmth of an Uzbek home."
