What To Expect
During your Naming ceremony in Kumasi the tour will take you the Bonwire Kente Weaving Center and the Ntonso Adinkra Craft Village.
Ntonso Adinkra Craftsmen
The tour will take you to the Adinkra Craft Village to see how the Adinkra cloth is made from the begining to the finish and print like a local.

3.00It is titled as a full day tour but in total it was about 3 hours. The guide Kwame was very helpful and knowledgeable, but the overall experience felt quite rushed. We did not go to any of the museums or larger sites in Bonwire - everything happened at a small site. We arrived back at our hotel with nothing planned for the rest of the day.

The visit to the Kente and Ntonso Adinkra villages was fascinating, and the Naming Ceremony was a truly special experience. The hosts were attentive and made the journey through Kumasi’s historic sites and vibrant Kejetia Market even more engaging. A must-do for anyone wanting to connect with Asante culture!

5.00Phenomenal experience. My mama and I had a core memory added to the vault by going on this trip. Kwame and Priscilla were fantastic. Great communication and impactful insights during the tour. They went above and beyond to accommodate the addition of the city tour after the naming ceremony and tour of the kente, adinkra and cocoa farm. We enjoyed an enriching experience of yummy food at Ike’s Cafe and Grill. Tried fufu for the first time and learned that Kumasi is the Home of fufu!! The Manhiya Palace, Okomfo Anokye Sword Site and seeeing the Market amazing! Providing the history and culture of the Asante warriors and Ghanaian pride and traditions. Great value for the price but the experience is truly priceless Thank you 🙏🏾
