The Manu National Park is a protected natural area. It is divided into the core zone, the reserved zone and the cultural zone. The latter is the one we visited in the four days. The Manu is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world and that is why it is one of the most appreciated regions. Here 223 species of mammals and 1005 of birds have been registered. It also holds the world record for diversity of amphibian (155) and reptile (132) species for a protected area.

Our guide picked you up from your hotel at around 5:30 a.m. you boarded a comfortable minivan and began your journey towards the jungle. our first stop was at the chullpas of Ninamarca, pre-Inca burial towers that gave us a glimpse into ancient history. We continued to the beautiful town of Paucartambo, where we enjoyed a nice local breakfast and the charming atmosphere. From there, we reached Acjanaco, the highest point of the route and the entrance to the Manu Biosphere Reserve. As we descended into the cloud forest, the landscape completely changed—lush, green, and full of life. We made several stops along the way to spot birds, monkeys, and other wildlife, which made the experience even more special. One of the highlights was seeing the Cock-of-the-rock, Peru’s national bird—truly impressive! We arrived in Pillcopata in the afternoon, where we had dinner and stayed overnight in a comfortable lodge with a private bathroom and mosquito nets. A perfect end to an amazing first day

Day 2 was an incredible mix of adventure and wildlife. We started early at the eco-lodge with a good breakfast, then visited a birdwatching spot—Manu is truly amazing, with so many species like hummingbirds and monkes. Afterwards, we went to Atalaya port, where we received boots and life jackets before boarding a traditional boat. Sailing along the Madre de Dios River was beautiful, surrounded by pure Amazon nature. We then arrived at another eco-lodge to relax and have lunch. In the afternoon, we headed to Machuwasi Lake. After a short boat ride and walk, we reached this peaceful place where we went canoeing. It was a great experience—we saw birds, capybaras, and other wildlife up close. We also climbed a watchtower for amazing jungle views. At night, we did a jungle walk and spotted caimans and nocturnal animals—an unforgettable experience, We ended the day with a delicious dinner and a well-deserved rest at the eco-lodge.

Day 3 started very early with one of the most colorful experiences in the Amazon. Around 5:00 a.m., our guide took us to the parrot clay lick. After a 40-minute boat ride, we watched parrots and parakeets gathering—an unforgettable natural spectacle, and with some luck, even macaws. Back at the eco-lodge, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast before heading out on a guided jungle walk. We explored the forest, saw the impressive giant ceiba tree, learned about medicinal plants, and spotted wildlife along the way. After returning to the lodge for a tasty lunch, we had some time to relax before continuing the adventure in the afternoon. We went for a refreshing swim in the river and enjoyed a beautiful sunset in the heart of the jungle. In the evening, we returned to the eco-lodge for dinner and, if we still had energy, joined a night walk. It was the perfect way to end our last night surrounded by nature.

I did a 4 day trip and I think if it’s your first time visiting the jungle it’s a perfect one to do, we were happy with how everything turned out!! We got to see all the animals we were hoping, the tour was very organized, amazing home cooked food and the employees were all great! Our guide Raul was very educational and made my friend and I love the trip. We went hiking for a bit, bird watching, fishing, and wooden rafting It was so much fun. comfy accommodation!

Pedro recommended the tour to Machu Picchu via Hydroelectrica route understanding my preference to hike whenever possible. He listened to my questions and came up with the appropriate advice. Not only that, Pedro is very knowledgeable of Inca history and relevant places of interest around Cusco. Thanks to Pedro - I was able to visit Saqsaywaman, Temple of the Moon and Kusilluchayoc!

Very good tour. Good organization, the guide Ruben very attentive and always concerned about us. The chef Lucho served us typical dishes of the area, very rich and good preparation considering that he makes them in the jungle. The agency very attentive and always with good predisposition.

The magnificent treck for Choquequirao went very well with this agency. Pedro at the agency was very patient with all our questions. The guide Jimmy was really good, dynamic, motivating and passionate about the history of the site. Everything was perfectly organized and Jimmy adapted to our pace the steps to limit walking to the difficult hours of sunshine at the zenith. The steps were very nice, we always slept well and ate well with welcoming hosts. Finally, the mule rider who accompanied us was very nice and took good care of his horses, which was very important to us. Everything was perfect! We recommend!

10/10 tour! Our trip was great - comfortable accommodations, amazing food and we got to see a ton of wildlife and beautiful scenery during a short period of time. Our guide, Jimmy, was knowledgeable, friendly and helped provide great insight into local plants, animals and culture. We wished we had done one of the longer treks to experience more, and we plan on coming back. Would recommend Peru Jungle Trips!

We had a great time on our jungle adventure. 3 days, 2 nights. We purchased the tour here in Cusco and the staff was very helpful accommodating the days we were available to go. They also supplied binoculars and a duffle bag for repacking. Very good communication in Whatsapp as well.

We warmly recommend booking your stay with this agency and their exceptional guide, Jacker. They listened attentively and were very responsive in our discussions. Jacker, thanks to his perfect command of English (and Spanish of course!) and his vast knowledge of flora and fauna, has made our stay not only rewarding, but truly unforgettable! His enthusiasm and involvement have been remarkable. The whole team, from cook to drivers, also showed professionalism and constant attention to us. Look no further: for a successful trip to the Amazon, trust this agency with your eyes closed!

We totally recommend to book with this agency and the guide Carlos and his team. The agency was always ready to answer questions and helpful to organize things. The guide Carlos - with good mastery of English - knew so much information about the wildlife of the Amazon and his great experience and knowledge provided a lot of context on what we see and experience in the Amazon. His team (cook and driver) were professional and the food was surprisingly very tasty and healthy. If you think of planning a trip to the Amazon and want to know about the biodiversity of this place, totally book with them!
