Our team of Axe-perts can put the most nervous thrower at ease with our simple instructions that will have you slicing bullseyes in no time.
We will walk you through a number of throwing techniques to find the style that best suits you and then host the games to find out who comes out on top!
The venue is completely accessible, suitable for ages 12-99.
A games bar is on site to keep the competitions continuing after the throwing event. free pool, table table tennis, video games and more!
Birthdays, get togethers, date nights or work function- Sweet axe can take care of it all.

What To Expect
Join in on our public axe throwing sessions! Our friendly Axe-perts will provide all the training you require to land that axe in the target and then become your commentator and referee as we host a series of axe throwing games. These sessions have a maximum group size of 6 players per lane which ensures everyone plenty of throwing time. All equipment is provided and no axe-perience necessary!

Axe and Smash - fun and therapy in one place

5.00We did the double Axe and Smash room experience, and it was AWESOME! Staff are fun, funny and pros, but also take safety seriously - probably important part of the job description! No matter your ability or experience with axe throwing, it's a great time, and the Smash Room is the best and cheapest therapy around! Do one, do all, just do it! And then chill with a beer and billiards after - highly recommend.

5.00I’ve never done anything like this before and only went as it was part of our work activities for conference… Well what an absolute blast! The team at Sweet Axe really know how to show you a good time, they kept all our toes and fingers safely intact explaining what and what not to do! Demonstrating and teaching us so we could even get the axe in the wall. Top marks to to lads at Sweet Axe!! And a super big thanks to Cliff who did a fantastic job with our group.

5.00What a unique and cool experience! Our guide was fantastic, made our time at Wellington Sweet Axe fun and enjoyable . Would highly recommend going with a group, can’t wait to go back and give the new smash room a go!

5.00Axe throwing was the first stop on a Stag Do. Adam and Charlotte were fantastic teachers and hosts - there were 19 of us, but they ensured the whole session was engaging and fun for everyone, even when not actively throwing. Some of our group had thrown before, many others hadn't, but it was a great experience for all, despite skill level! It was a nice spot to have a drink afterwards, and the games available for before and after are a nice touch too. Thanks team!
