The Ruins of Aksum

This is the main place to visit. There are different parts inside the compound that a visitors should visit. There is Archeological Museum, The tombs of false door, The Mauselom, The tombs of Brick arches and visiting the Obelisks.

Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion

It’s one of the biggest Orthodox churches in Ethiopia. Axum was well know as a Coronation place. There are different Gifts given by different Kings when they can for coronation. There is a Monastery church where women are not allowed to enter, The New Big Church builder by Emperor haileselassie (the last king of Ethiopia), and the House Of the Ark of the covenant.

I was with Arré for just a couple of days in and around Axum but had an amazing time with him. A friend and I hired him to visit some farmlands in the Tigray region to meet and speak to locals and Arré was incredibly helpful in arranging and translating for us. He was also very calm and composed and made us feel incredibly comfortable with him. Next time I am in Ethiopia, I will definitely spend more time with him. Arre was an amazing guide and person. We recomend him for everyone going to Ethiopia. He was showing us the area around Axum and he was our daily contact in the area. We felt in very good hands and safe with Arre.
