What To Expect
Lago Bacalar (Lake of the Seven Colors)
You will be picked up outside of the Costa Maya cruise ship port complex and you’ll step aboard our private air conditioned vehicle that will take you to our beautiful marina right on the Bacalar Lagoon. As soon as we get to Bacalar we’ll cruise out in our private Catamaran for relaxation and pampering by our attentive crew as you take in captivating views of Bacalar that will leave you breathless, where you will have the opportunity to splash in the clear waters of this stunning lagoon. As soon as we start our adventure in the lagoon you’ll be amazed by the different shades of blue and understand why is frequently referred as the 7 color lagoon. During the tour our guide will prepare a delicious and healthy fruit snack that will be perfect for the occasion.
After we are done with our catamaran tour we will take you to our favorite restaurant to enjoy some delicious and authentic mexican tacos (pork, beef or shrimp) served along guacamole. (We have vegetarian and vegan options upon request).

5.00What a great excursion we just had! Our tour guide Miss Jhoana was amazing! She is the sweetest. She texted a few days before our trip and and found out it was a bachelorette trip and then she brought so many extra goodies to make the trip unforgettable. I would definitely recommend Miss Jhoana, Captain Eder, and Daniel for your next trip. The only thing that would have made this better would have been warmer weather.

5.00Jhoana was an amazing hostess. She met us right where she said she would be to pick us up just a short walk outside the Costa Maya cruise port holding a sign with our name to greet us. She had a nice van and great driver for us. She gave us some history of the region and got to know us on the drive. They stopped in route at a roadside fruit stand and bought fresh fruit and then cut it up on the boat for us to enjoy in addition to the bottle of tequila! The catamaran sailor and captain were very knowledgeable and informative about the Lagoon. They played cool music for us and provided an awesome atmosphere for the day. Lunch after the sailing and swimming was incredible at this little bar/grill outside of a very nice Mexican hostel right on the Bacalar Lagoon. This whole experience was probably the best we’ve ever done. No complaints whatsoever. Exceeded expectations ! Highly recommend ecoexperience and especially Jhoana Zamudio.

5.00I went on my bachelorette trip and let me just say I will never forget it! Jhoana, Eder and Daniel made this experience a 1000/10. Jhoana surprised me with amazing decorations. I haven’t had that much fun in a while and I would recommend them 100% to anyone!

5.00This was an outstanding tour. Transportation was air-conditioned and the conversation was fun. Jhoana was our guide The trip was very organized and the catamaran ride on the lagoon was awesome. Lunch….yum. They offered various drinks throughout the tour for free. Mostly we had an incredible time talking with our guide and each other. Place is calm and safe. We have been to many countries and have traveled a bunch.

5.00This tour was easily the highlight of our entire cruise. The catamaran was super comfortable, the water was unbelievably blue, and our guide made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. We got plenty of time to swim, take photos, and really enjoy Bacalar without crowds. Everything ran on time, transportation was smooth, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Truly a 5-star experience, highly recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Maya!

5.00The Bacalar Lagoon Private Catamaran trip was the most amazing experience!! From the moment we arrived until the final goodbye, this experience was top notch! Jhoana was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable, while Arturo was a great navigator. Unfortunately I forget the names of the the captain and his first mate, but they too were excellent hosts. Our Van was at the pickup point ready to go while Jhoana had a sign with our name so we knew we were in the right spot. The freshest fruit was purchased from a roadside stand while on the way to Bacalar. They made sure to keep us "hydrated" along the way. Our private catamaran was the best thing ever. We saw many others out on the water that were on crowded pontoon boats but we were there with only our group of friends. We were all so surprised at how beautiful and refreshing the water was. The shades of blue, the softest sand and above all...IT'S FRESH WATER!!!!! Then we returned the the marina to find our lunch ready and waiting for us. Everything was delicious and freshly made to order. Our return to port was no different than the journey out. Jhoana made sure to stop and refill the cooler for our hydration needs and kept the party going. I cannot say enough positive things about this excursion. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! We will be talking about this for years to come and hopefully will pay you all a visit again. If I could give more then 5 stars I would.

5.00Just finished the most wonderful day on the lagoon. It was so beautiful and the staff was so attentive and knowledgeable. From the second we met Jhoana at the pick up point we knew it was going to be a great time. We learned so much about the area and never wanted for anything all day. Jhoana was always right there to bring us a snack, another beer or take our pictures! Wonderful excursion, would highly recommend
