4.00The experience itself was terrific. The boat ride was a pleasant 40-45 minutes each way, the island was suitable for the things we wanted to do, and the pigs were adorable. The one hitch, and it was a major one, was the pickup location instructions. They were terribly vague and even though we gave ourselves 30 minutes of margin to find it, the time just kept passing us by until it was after our scheduled pickup time of 11:15. We asked every port worker we came across, handed them our paperwork, and heard them all say something along the lines of, "How are you supposed to know where to go?" We EVENTUALLY found a person who called their offices and the lady apologized and told us the boat would be there to pick us up "very shortly." It arrived at 12:40pm when our pickup time was set for 11:15am. So our excursion was shortened by 1.5 hours to start with. As I said the day was lovely, but getting back to the cruise port came with a level of stress that I won't soon forget. All-aboard time was 4:30pm and the boat dropped us off near Señor Frogs at 4:15pm. The walk was very long and incredibly stressful because we honestly didn't know if we were going to get left behind. Thankfully, as we approached our ship (which was positioned at the very back of the pier), we saw several other people still walking toward it and knew we would not be left. I would recommend this experience only if your all-aboard time is 5:00 or after and if you can be on Bahamian time for your pickup.
