  I booked this tour for two people through the GetYourGuide app. The tour description stated that Gobustan, the mud volcanoes, the Fire Temple, and all entrance tickets, including the off-road vehicle fee, were included. During the tour, several issues negatively affected our experience. First, the tour was not operated by the company listed on the platform. A different company carried out the tour, which the guide openly acknowledged. This was not communicated to us in advance. During the tour, despite the off-road fee being listed as included in the booking details, we were asked to pay extra cash to use the off-road vehicle near the mud volcanoes. Another couple in our group mentioned that they had also purchased a package with all entrances and the off-road fee included, yet they were asked for an additional payment as well. Throughout the tour, we encountered repeated requests for extra payments. During lunch, the guide came to our table and asked for payment again. At that point, I clearly stated that requesting additional payment for services listed as included was unacceptable and informed the guide that I would consider taking the matter through legal channels. Because of these ongoing and unexpected payment requests, it became difficult to enjoy the tour itself. Instead of focusing on the sites, we were constantly concerned about additional costs. Additionally, after the tour, I noticed that a review had appeared in my GetYourGuide account that I had not written myself. This was particularly confusing and concerning. Overall, the lack of transparency, organizational issues during the tour, and continuous pressure regarding extra payments made this experience disappointing for me. I would not choose this tour again.

  The trip was enjoyable, and the staff at this agency were very kind. I was happy to get to know them. The tour guide also tried to explain all the places we visited and was very kind.

• Just ok day tour, night tour canceled by operator with no refund

  I recently took the Baku-Gobustan-Absheron-Mud volcanoes-Fire Temple Tour, which was bundled with a night tour option. The poor rating is due to the Night Tour component, a large part of why I booked with this operator. A few days beforehand I confirmed the night tour, then on the day of, at the very last minute (8:30pm), the operator canceled for "technical reasons." I requested a refund, and instead the operator offered a few future tour options as alternatives, which would have been nice except I had no further availability during the trip. Then the operator offered to un-cancel the night tour, but by this point I had already made other plans to salvage the evening. The operator repeatedly refused to refund me, and started giving illogical excuses about the tour start time... I expect they'll respond to this review and offer similar irrelevancies. Day tour was ok. Guide was excellent, though it felt disorganized and not everything in the tour description was offered (ex, no water provided upon request, guide did not demonstrate lighting the mud volcanoes on fire). Bus driver seemed to be trying to save on A/C costs and would only turn it on when we asked. Lunch restaurant was overpriced and mediocre and scammy (eg, they charged me 8 AZN for a shot of espresso, and they lied that they don't accept credit cards), I recommend breaking from the group to find something better. It looks like they no longer offer the night tour component, which is probably for the best. Still, I would caution the buyer that you may not get all that you pay for when working with this tour operator.

  We booked this private tour after a lot of research,and we were absolutely thrilled with how it was planned and executed. Our tour guide, Bhaktiyar, was outstanding! He provided detailed and fascinating historical context for Qobustan, Mud Volcano, the Fire Temple, the Fire Mountain. Beyond the sites, he shared a wealth of information about Azerbaijan during our travels, and we truly enjoyed our conversations, which felt like chatting with a friend. He also took the time to explain Azerbaijani culture and heritage and offered excellent recommendations for other places to visit. We were incredibly impressed by the hospitality we received, starting with the warm welcome from Ruslan. He coordinated everything perfectly, provided all the tour details, ensured our comfort throughout our day tours, and was always available to answer any questions.
