What To Expect
Leave the crowds behind and discover the spiritual heart of Bali in the small mountain village at the foot of Mount Batukaru, surrounded by emerald rice terraces. Be warmly welcomed and stroll through the lush garden of colorful blossoms and tropical herbs and spices, and listen to the soft tunes of the bamboo instrument called Rindik. The highlight of your day is a purification ceremony at a hidden jungle temple beside a tranquil river. Dressed in Balinese temple clothes, you prepare offerings of flowers and incense with the Mangku, the local priest, and take part in a deeply moving ritual of cleansing and blessing—an authentic spiritual experience rarely shared with visitors. Afterward, enjoy a delicious homemade Balinese lunch at our authentic village Warung, then join a farmer in planting rice and meet the friendly animals at the Balikaru farm. Learn about stingless Trigona bees and taste their rare, healthy honey. End the day with a peaceful walk through the picturesque mountain village and a stop at Air Terjun Pengempu, a hidden waterfall. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon, carrying with you the quiet magic of Bali’s mountains and the warmth of its people.

5.00For us, one of the best trips we have ever made. Starting with Jimmi who drove us to July who gave us an unforgettable tour. The ceremony was very impressive and we are grateful to have experienced this. Even planting rice was fun. A very great village where you could experience a little Bali without crowds. And the food... wow! Thanks for the wonderful time!

5.00On the occasion of our 2. On the wedding day we chose this trip. The day was simultaneously, impressive, enjoyable and slowing down. We got on Balinese traditional clothes and were photographed with them. Then we walked a short distance down to a river. There we were blessed by the priest and then received by the priestess. We made our own offering bowls and cleaned ourselves with the smoke of the incense sticks. Afterwards we ate some snacks from the sacrificial bowl together with the other German couple. Then we went back to the main house with great garden. We were served an excellent lunch. As a surprise we got a little "birthday cake" on the occasion of our wedding anniversary. As a farewell, everyone received a bar of homemade soap. Afterwards we visited the rice terraces of Jatiluwih, which are very impressive. Next stop was the hot springs. We continued to a refreshing waterfall in the middle of the jungle (Attention many stairs, but it is worth it!!!) Last we visited a coffee plantation and got to taste different flavors of coffee and tea. We really enjoyed the day and can only recommend it to everyone!! Our special thanks go to Guide Juli, who guided us through the day with all the important and funny details.

5.00The cleaning ceremony as well as the cooking class were very nice. We also saw a great waterfall and rice fields. At the end of the tour there was a tea and coffee tasting. Our guide spoke German very well and answered all our questions.

5.00Unforgettable experience, must to do for spiritually oriented people, who love nature. The ceremony is held in the forest by the natural spring. Balikaru center is really beautiful, the food is delicious. Totally heart-warming experience. My guide was really informative and kind and I learned a lot about Balinese hindu culture. As a solo female traveller i felt very secure and relaxed during the whole excursion.

5.00I really recommend this trip to people who are spiritually oriented and love nature. Balikaru center is beautiful with delicious food and charming hosts. They give cooking classes as well, would br great group activity, and it's possible to spend a night there as well. You get to walk in nature, and experience very memorable and heart-touching purification and blessing ceremony in the middle of tropical forest and natural spring. I learned a lot about hindu religion as well as plants growing in the area. We went to see rice field and waterfall as well, so you could take your swim-gear with you. Lastly we went to coffee and herbal tea tasting which was situated in a very lovely place. You might want to bring some extra money with you, because they are selling really tasty and special locally produced coffees and herbals, including avocado coffee and lemon grass tea. I took a trip as solo female traveller and felt very secure and comfortable all the time. Our driver was very good, so felt safe through the whole trip.

5.00Very lovely people. The ceremony was very interesting and a great experience. The path to the ceremony location, which is located on a small river, is not easy to reach, that is the only drawback. (Steep stairs) It would not be recommended for people with physical disabilities. For us, however, it was not a problem, just watch where you step. Thank you for the experience and the great food.
