The guide gave us a bit of background, simple stuff, but helpful because I didn't know the history at all. My wife loved small details on the walls, it wasn't a long tour but honestly it didn't need to be. Peaceful, beautiful, something different from the casual skyscraper.

Nothing prepares you for seeing the itself, though. The white marble is just stunning, and the amount of detail in the carvings is unbelievable. Tour don't overload the information, just enough to help us understand what we were seeing.

The temple itself… wow. Like you walk in and suddenly everything’s calm but also you’re sweating like crazy because Abu Dhabi heat doesn’t play. I kept stopping every 10 seconds going “wait look at this carving… no THIS one” and my partner was basically done with me but also pretending not to be impressed (he definitely was). There were a bunch of people but it didn’t feel too chaotic, more like everyone was floating around quietly. The security guys were super polite, even when I accidentally walked the wrong way and they gently herded me back like a confused sheep.

Thousand of people visits weekly, the flow is managed efficiently by a huge team of friendly volunteers who are ready to guide you, but in our case we had our own guide, he was so professional and had lot of knowledge that he shared with us. It's great place you should visit to witness new architecture, peace etc.
