El Tigre Catamaran Sailing Cruises
After hotel pickup, head to the marina in Bridgetown to board your catamaran, El Tigre, a 60-foot-long (18-meter) and 24-foot-wide (7-meter) schooner that’s big enough to carry 50 passengers but is limited to 36 per cruise to provide more space. The boat offers both shady and uncovered areas so you can choose to sit wherever you’ll be more comfortable. Pull out of the marina and head along the west coast of Barbados, enjoying the sea breeze on your face and admiring the picturesque coastline. While you sail, just relax, sipping a cup of coffee or a glass of juice, rum punch or beer, and enjoy a slice of coconut bread.
Barbados
Make your way to your first snorkeling spot, where you should be able to see sea turtles. Spend 45 minutes snorkeling, and then hop back on board the boat to sail to your second snorkeling location, a shipwreck that has become a habitat for many tropical fish. You have another 45 minutes to snorkel here. If you choose the 3-hour option, you’ll then be dropped off at a west coast beach, where your cruise ends. Your transportation will be waiting for you at this beach to return to your hotel. If you select the 5-hour option, continue along the west coast to a third location, where you’ll stop to enjoy lunch onboard the boat. Then hop in the water to cool off, swimming up to the nearby beach, if you wish, for a stroll along the sand. Back on board, enjoy a cocktail and listen to soca — a style of Caribbean calypso music — while the boat returns you to the marina in Bridgetown, where your cruise ends. Unlimited drinks (soda, beer and rum punch) are provided on both cruise options.

AMAZING DAY! The water was choppy, but didn’t matter! Swam with the turtles, saw ship wrecks, a sting ray. We had an amazing lunch. Delicious rum punch. Relaxed, swam, listened to the music. The staff was AMAZING. From the transportation to the clean restrooms on board - it was very organized and a well planned day. Such a perfect day! If you’re thinking about it, just book it.

I made this trip solo as my wife does not snorkel. I met some great people on board. The crew was great at getting everyone to have a good time. Drinks were plentiful and there was a good lunch served. Saw plenty of fish and turtles. Missed the first area with shipwrecks because I didn't realize that the turtles and shipwrecks were in the same area. Had I known,I'd have taken the swim fins so I could get from 1 area to the next. Went to another area with a cool coral reef. That area had a shipwreck as well. The main crew member that kept the guests entertained was Wayne. Very quick and sharp witted man. Captain Larry piloted the boat very smoothly, especially when switching from motor to sails only. Make sure you bring sunscreen because it does beat down on you on the water. We had a fabulous day! The boat and crew were exceptional. The route included 3 ship wrecks and a swim near the beach. We had three stops and the guide swam at a slow pace so that we could enjoy all of the fish and coral. The lunch was huge and tasted great. I've been on so many excursions that felt like a forced March. This was relaxing from start to finish. One of our best excursions ever.

A perfect day on the catamaran - great service, drinks and food, a fun and supportive team guiding snorkeling at two spots and then sailing in the sunshine. Highly recommend.

The crew was totally great, the boat super clean and the food good too. The problem was the 2 snorkel spots. Apart from the fact that they were only 100 meters apart so there weren't really two spots , there were so many people there that I got claustrophobic in the water. We saw the turtles and the shipwrecks but there were just too many people so you couldn't enjoy it at all. The last spot for swimming was great again, there was nothing going on.

This is, by far the best excursion we have ever taken, out of all the islands we have been to. The workers were a lot of fun to be around and they were super helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic! I like how they feed the fish so that we can actually see (tarpon). All day fun! Make sure to bring the suntan lotion. If you had to pick one excursion, this is the one.
