Cherry Tree Hill
Cherry Tree Hill is eight hundred and fifty (850) ft above sea level and is a part of St. Nicholas Abbey plantation. Actually due to the size of the St. Nicholas Abbey property, Cherry Tree Hill actually borders, St.Peter and St. Andrew. Many years ago, the drive on either side to get to it was flanked by cherry trees, thus the reason for its name; however these were replaced with mahogany trees which now line the road. The trees were planted in celebration of the signing of The Treaty of Paris in 1763

Had an amazing trip today with Steven. He was great and gave us a lively tour answering all our questions. It’s great to be with people who love what they do and where they live. We saw wildlife and monkey s being fed, great fish lunch at Bathsheba beach and a boat tour complete with snorkeling with turtles and over shipwrecks . Great day!

Our leader Quamme was brilliant! He is super knowledgeable and passionate about his country. He was very friendly and happy to answer any questions. The snorkeling, however, felt very disconnected and was disappointing. It was very short and the location they took us to was very murky.

The monkey sanctuary and tour of the island was very good but the snorkelling was a big let down on the boat for well under an hour and on the water for 2 ten minute slots that were a shambles , such a shame our tour guide sheian was excellent

The drive was long and winding, leading one of our party to get severely motion sick. The wildlife preserve and monkey feeding were fun but crowded. Lunch at Bathsheba was pleasant. Unfortunately were were dumped in with a much, much larger crowd to snorkel with turtles, which was the worst part of the tour. Overall, I wouldn't do this again.

Our excursion to the wildlife sanctuary, swimming with turtles and snorkeling tour in Barbados was absolutely fantastic, and a huge part of that was thanks to our driver, Glyne. From the moment we got on board, Glyne was warm, welcoming, and incredibly funny he kept us entertained throughout the entire trip! What truly set him apart was his deep knowledge of Barbados, the wildlife sanctuary, and the local culture. He shared fascinating facts and stories that made the journey just as enjoyable as the destination itself. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that enthusiasm was contagious. Glyne made everyone feel comfortable, kept the tour running smoothly, and turned a great excursion into an unforgettable experience. If you’re lucky enough to have Glyne as your driver, you’re in for a treat. Highly, highly recommended

Tour started great with ontime pick-up & our friendly funny guide Stephen aka Roberto Blanco!! Monkey watching & wildlife reserve was fab, as was the overland tour to the east coast & beautiful Bathsheba. Lunch was very nice too. Our guide was always helpful & attentive. The afternoon boat cruise was disappointing. We literally moved offshore approx 200 metres!!! That was it!! We did see a couple of turtles & some fish but we definitely DIDNT cruise anywhere!! The ride home was enjoyable as our guide was very informative & knowledgeable about his beautiful island. A great guy!! He completely made the day!! Thanks again Stephen!

My daughter and I enjoyed our time traveling! We were in awe with the monkey's (saw a mommy and baby :-) and it melted my heart), enjoyed supporting the locals, the tour through rainforest with the animals, and the overall guide was nice. We went in July 2025 and I'm leaving a review Jan. 2026 - phenomenal!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. The listing clearly states feeding monkeys and swimming with the turtles. However when we get picked up by our tour guide he tells us we will NOT be feeding the monkeys we will be watching them during their morning feeding and he couldn’t guarantee that we would swim with the turtles as sometimes we may see none, one or many. When he explained that within 5 minutes of meeting us we said it just wouldn’t make financial sense for us as a family of 6 to pay $850 for 1. False advertisement of feeding and 2. No guarantee of seeing the turtles. So we canceled. Then when I reach out to Viator (after the actual agency told me that Viator is responsible for the wording they use in the advertisement) we were told that there isn’t anything they (Viator)can do other than credit us 10%. Obviously not a happy consumer and Viator is not taking responsibility for the false advertisement. Very unfortunate
