We wanted to spend the day discovering the most authentic places over the city being able at the same time to get information about the history and culture that Barcelona offers. After this experience, thanks to Step One Tours and their attention to details it is clear that we must come back another time. We highly recommend them without any doubt.

I had such a wonderful time on this tour. I’ve lived in Barcelona for four years, and I still got to discover places and learn things I had never seen before. The food was amazing, and I will definitely go back to several of the restaurants we visited. The tour was also really well balanced — we walked a lot, but it never felt tiring because we stopped often to eat, sit down, and enjoy each place. By the end I was completely full and felt like I had experienced the perfect mix of food, walking, and learning about the city. I would 100% recommend this tour both for visitors and for people who already live in Barcelona. It’s also a great activity for friends or family visiting the city.

I did this food walk around the Gothic Quarter and El Born in with my friends and honestly it was way better than I expected. We stopped at a bunch of places with really amazing food and drinks! proper traditional Catalan stuff, not the usual touristy things you see everywhere. Everything was super tasty and there was more than enough, I definitely left full. The guide was also a big highlight. Really funny, easygoing, and somehow managed to make all the history actually interesting. I’ve lived in Barcelona for 4 years and still learned loads of things about the area that I had no idea about. What makes it different from other “food and history” tours is that it doesn’t feel staged or rushed. You actually walk away feeling educated, full, and like you’ve experienced the city properly instead of just ticking off stops. I’d 100% recommend it if you’re in Barcelona, even if you think you already know the city.

Had an amazing time on this tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona. The food was excellent throughout the whole experience, but what really made the tour stand out was the guide. He was genuinely fun and kept the energy and atmosphere great the entire time, while still being very knowledgeable and professional. It never felt forced or overly touristy. It was more like exploring the city with someone who truly loves Barcelona and knows all the hidden gems. A perfect mix of great food, interesting history, and good vibes.

We took part in the tour as a group of four, and we were joined by two other couples from Germany. The entire tour was conducted in English, and our guide was absolutely amazing! Right from the start, they managed to connect the whole group perfectly and create an incredibly friendly, laid-back atmosphere. The whole thing lasted 4 hours- which was just right to stay fully engaged in the sightseeing without getting tired. The guide talked about the Gothic Quarter with huge passion and a great sense of humor, sharing plenty of unique facts that you would hardly find in standard guidebooks. The food itself was delicious- we tried authentic, local Barcelona specialties. It was during this tour that I tried local vermouth for the very first time, and it completely stole my heart :) I highly recommend it to everyone!

Amazing service! I wanted to try a Barcelona tour with my local friend, and we both really enjoyed it. Our tour guide, who was from Barcelona, made the experience even better with so many interesting stories and insights about the city. Everything felt authentic, engaging, and fun to learn about. On top of that, the group was very diverse, which made the whole experience even more enriching and enjoyable. Definitely a great recommendation, and I’d happily do another tour with them in the future!

One of the best experiences we had in Barcelona. The tour was the perfect mix of amazing food, local history, and hidden spots around the Gothic Quarter and El Born. Our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the city and its culture. The food was excellent at every stop, and we discovered places we never would have found on our own. What made this tour special was how authentic and personal it felt. It never felt rushed or touristy. If you want a real taste of Barcelona, this tour is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.
