5.00We had a lovely Barolo wine tour with Abroad Tours! Our guide, Stefano, was fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and he made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. The van was very comfortable, and he drove us safely through the beautiful Barolo region. We stopped in Alba, where Stefano recommended some great truffle products (super helpful!), and later visited Montaribaldi, a lovely family-owned winery where we tasted six delicious wines. The whole day was relaxing and well-planned, and I never felt rushed — even during lunch. Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking to visit Barolo from Milan or Turin. Thank you, Stefano, for a great day 🍷✨ (and for accommodating my urgent request for a toilet break on the way back to Milan!).

5.00Oleg is very knowledgeable about the region and the wine. The tour group size was small and the van was comfortable. We had ample time in the Castello and then later in Alba for looking around, shopping and having lunch. Given the small group and his connections, we had a few surprises and he had many restaurant recommendations. The tour and tasting at the vineyard was lovely and we tasted very good wines. The day was a great balance of information and time to explore.

5.00Very nice tour from start to finish. Van was very clean and leather appointed seats. Tour guide explained the truffle making process and festival this time of the year. He was very friendly and informative. Castle visit was grat. Alba was a quaint town and the food amazing. Then the wine tour and tasting was fun, in a glass room on the side of a vineyard hill. Amazing wine. One of the best wine tours we have been on.

5.00We had a wonderful time and learned so much about Alba’s history and wine of the region. We also experienced a bonus white truffle tasting since Alba’s white truffle festival takes place on weekends while we were there. Delicious food and wine! Oleg was very knowledgeable and shared many details that added depth to the region’s history and specialties!

4.00Our tour, led by Chiara Caruana, was nicely paced, interesting, and ultimately delicious on a perfect day in the Italian Piedmont. Rainy the day before the weather was perfect for the ride to Alba from Milan, and for our excursion around Milan. For that reason, the views were great, and the Alps could be seen from every stop. Cavour's Castle was interesting, and the winery tour and tasting were informative and delightful. Excellent wine, introduced by a professional from the winery. The highlight, however, was the opportunity to have a long lunch of local specialties in Alba during the White Truffle Festival. Chiara first took us to a truffle and olive oil purveyor for a tasting of truffles and a glass of local wine, then provided us with a list of nearby restaurants, all tested for quality. My partner's and my meal did not disappoint. Outstanding. Chiara too added to the experience. She was very knowledgeable, approachable, and friendly. The only critique I have is that I thought the group was too large and the van too crowded. Other than that, we thought that the tour was excellent and would recommend it to anyone.
