Discover Barolo — often called the “King of Wines and the Wine of Kings” — on a small-group journey from Milan into the vineyard hills of the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage wine landscape.
Travel in a comfortable small group with an English-speaking guide.
The first stop is Alba, the world capital of white truffles and the birthplace of Nutella. Enjoy 2 hours of free time to stroll the historic center and enjoy lunch.
From Alba, continue into the Barolo wine region to visit a family-run winery with spectacular views over the Langhe hills. Enter the traditional cellar, meet the producers, and enjoy a guided tasting of 7 wines, including Barolo, while learning about local vineyards and winemaking traditions.
The day also includes a stop at Grinzane Cavour Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by vineyards and one of the iconic viewpoints in the Langhe.
(On Tuesdays, when the castle is closed, the stop is replaced by a panoramic viewpoint in La Morra or Barbaresco.)

Alba
Alba is known for its historic charm, excellent cuisine, and the famous White Truffle Fair, held on weekends in October and November. Explore the medieval towers and the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the town’s main cathedral. Browse local shops for some of the world’s best hazelnut cream, or enjoy lunch in a small, traditional restaurant serving Piedmont specialties such as fresh egg pasta and veal with tuna sauce.
Barolo
Visit a family-run winery in a panoramic setting surrounded by vineyards. Enter the cellars and learn directly from the winemakers about the production of Barolo, a strictly regulated wine made only from Nebbiolo grapes, with precise rules governing vineyard location, aging, and classification. Discover how each hill and vineyard has its own name and character, influencing structure, aroma, and aging potential. Taste at least six DOC and DOCG red wines, sometimes seven, including Barolo, during a guided tasting focused on quality, terroir, terroir expression, and local tradition.
Stop at a UNESCO-listed castle or panoramic viewpoint (Panoramic viewpoint on Tuesdays)

We had Chiara as our tour guide… she is amazing, very knowledgeable without being overwhelming, lots of context as well. Time allocated for the stops was enough and her recommendations for lunch at Alba were right on point. We had a very nice time at the castle and the vineyard was relaxed with a full experience of sort of wines for the region. Book it! You will not regret it.

We had such a great time on this tour! From start to finish, everything was seamless and thoughtfully planned. Our guide Chiara was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made sure everyone felt included. We learned so much about the region. The sights were beautiful, and the pacing was perfect—not rushed at all. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting!

This excursion was the highlight of our visit to Milan. The van was comfortable and our guide and driver were informative and friendly. We stopped at a beautiful castle with amazing view of the vineyards and the snow capped mountains in the backround. The stop at Alba was so much fun. The town was so clean and beautiful. We had a private visit and tasting of white truffles and hazelnuts which was so informative. The guide made reservations at a Michelin restaurant that was wonderful. I wish we had more time in Alba as there were so many shops I wanted to visit (next time). The wine tasting was the last stop and it was great. The view from the vineyard was spectacular. The whole day was amazing.

Amazing tour and one of the best wine tasting tours we’ve be on (in Italy, we’ve been to Tuscany and Naples - they didn’t have the same authenticity and quality as this one). Najma was a great guide sharing information and enthusiasm all through our experience. Alba was an amazing extra and we wished we could have been there longer to experience truffles, hazelnuts and the atmosphere.
