The UNESCO listed the Great Belize Barrier Reef as one of the most diverse eco-systems in the world made up of over 100 coral species and home to some 500 species of fish and hundreds of invertebrates.
Our snorkeling tour takes you on a 30-40 minutes boat ride to the Southern Barrier Reef which offers several different snorkeling sites within the reserve for beginners and experienced snorkelers.

What To Expect
Our snorkeling tour takes you on a 30-40 minutes boat ride to the Southern Barrier Reef which offers several different snorkeling sites within the reserve for beginners and experienced snorkelers. Our experienced guides takes you on an underwater adventure. Snorkelers often have close encounters with eagle rays, sea turtles, a wide variety of exotic fish, and even dolphins or friendly nurse sharks! Experience a bit of island life on this snorkel adventure as we normally stop at Bread and Butter Caye or South Water Caye for some beach-combing.

5.00The best experience of my life, it was like seeing something from the discovery channel/animal planet right in front of me, I still can’t believe I was able experience this. Our guides were amazing, they were very knowledgeable and great cooks. Will do again, if God permits.

5.00We had a great experience on the half-day Island hopping tour, which included some snorkeling near the reef. Our guides were Richie and Alden, and they were fun and knowledgeable. Alden was awesome as a snorkeling guide. He pointed out all the interesting fish and marine life and then would surface and identify them for us. Richie captained the boat and was a lot of fun. He played great music (some of it his own). Our only regret was that we only booked a half day rather than a full day, which we will definitely do next time.

5.00Get To Know Belize was great. We did two tours with them and they were both great. We did a half day reef fish and at first we thought the boat was going to be too crowded but adults and kids a like all caught fish and had fun. The staff was super helpful. We also did the full day snorkel and it was great. The reef is a bit far out but its really good. I've snorkeled all over the Caribbean and the French pacific and this is actually pretty good. There are plenty of places and it wasn't crowded at all. All three stops we were the only boats at each stop. We had a minor mis-communication on our first trip but we had a great time and Josie sent us a 30% refund and we didn't even ask or expect anything back. The boat Mrs. Josie was good and Josie is good to deal with, trustworthy and fair. The staff is friendly and super helpful. Captain Richey sang to us on the way home and the snorkeling guides were some of the best I've had. Absolutely have no worries about booking a trip w/ Mrs. Josie and Get To Know Belize.

5.00An amazing day on the water at the second largest barrier reef in the world. Shark, sting ray, starfish. Very caring, fun and knowledgeable staff. Thank you Alden, Keven, Cap't Ritchie and especially young Jaden that was our guide in the water. Knows more about that reef than most people in the world! Lunch was was awesome!

5.00We did a full day snorkel with Get To Know Belize out of Hopkins Bay. The trip was amazing and the guides were fabulous! We visited 3 snorkeling locations and the guides pointed out all the fish. They even let my son fish (he sat out the 3rd snorkel) and he caught a barracuda. Super cool and yummy! We finished the day with a delicious meal prepared by the crew on Breana Butter island. Amazing food and very relaxing. We would highly recommend this group and to see guides. As a bonus, our captain Richie D wrote and sang a super cool song called Good Bye about leaving Belize. Find it on Spotify and give it a listen. A nice musical memory to bring home.

5.00The crew (captain and guide), were personable and fun. The day we went out it was pretty windy and the water very choppy, so we opted to only do one snorkel. It was disappointing, but not the crews fault. We did go to Bread and Butter Caye for lunch, which was prepared by the crew and was absolutely delicious. We hung out there for a couple of hours before heading back to the marina. Even with the inclement weather, one snorkeling trip is better than no snorkeling trip, and we couldn't have asked for better hosts!

5.00Snorkeling guides were great, high energy, fun, knowledgeable and well prepared. We had a group size of seven and they took great care of us. Planning and scheduling people were to notch as well. Great experience, would definitely do it again.
