Enjoy a drive around some of the best countryside Switzerland has to offer. Start your journey in your private and exclusive Mercedes Mini Van pick and drive along the Brunig Pass to reach the spectacular Bernese Oberland. From there, choose the spectacular sights you want to visit. Your driver will provide interesting commentary on the route to your preferred destinations. Select between one of several peaks that can be reached by cable cars and trains - Jungfrau, Schlilthorn or First Mountains, each with their own unique seliing points. Journey onto the Reichenbach Falls, via the funicular railway where in the book, Sherlock Holmes is said to have perished. In the village visit the Sherlock Holme s Museum before heading to the fascinating Aare Gorge which is 1’400 metres long and up to 200 metres deep.More

5.00We all would highly recommend Chris as a private guide. He picked us up timely. His vehicle comfortably fit 4 adults and their piles of luggage. He was a very safe and conscientious driver. Most importantly, he entertained us with his extensive knowledge of the history and geography of Switzerland and its many places of interest. He had to adjust his plans on the spot due to heavy fog, and yet we were able to visit many beautiful and interesting places and have loads of fun. Everywhere that Chris took us it seemed he knew the people that worked there, and we felt part of "the in crowd". When in Lucerne, he brought us to important things like Laderach chocolate and the Lion Monument, but also gave us free time to wander through several Christmas markets on our own. Chris is easy-going, prepared, and is a natural when it comes to being a guide. Extra points for putting up with the silly American fascination with the many "Ausfahrt" road signs...but really, the word is totally hysterical AND anatomically correct!!! And many additional points for rescuing a memento bought at a Christmas market and inadvertently forgotten in the van, Chris shipped it safely back to us in Virginia. Good guy.

5.00We booked Chris to take us from Basel on to a tour of Lucerne and then deliver us to Zurich. We had a fantastic time, Chris is highly attentive to our group making sure everyone was adequately accommodated for, so as a host in general - 10/10. The tour was perfect, Chris made sure to stop in on some unique stops that we would never have known about and always had a great story or note of interest at each location. As a true insider he made sure we got to the best photo spots and even our recommended lunch was an absolute banger. You can't go wrong With any your with Chris, 100% recommended!

5.00Chris did a great job navigating and suggesting a wonderful tour when the weather was less than wonderful. The views were amazing, the town of Lucerne was beautiful and Chris set a timetable that was manageable by 4 70+ people, one with a handicap. He was so personable that I felt like he was a friend instead of a tour guide. TST is the best!

5.00Chris is an amazing guide. Full of relevant information, answered questions honestly and was fun. I like guides to be relatable and he was. He was patient and took us to the village where my husband’s family is from so we could see where they lived and replicate a cherished family photo. It was a special experience.❤️🇨🇭

5.00Chris started taking great care of us a week before our tour even started! He called to make sure we would be familiar with one another and he would have an understanding of what our group wanted to do. His communication was abundant and he was spot on with figuring out what we would enjoy and like to do. The ride up the mountain in Lucerne was amazing, and every activity we did after that was such fun! He was informative, answered all of our questions, and truly loves Switzerland! He was really funny and has a great sense of humor. The next time we are back, I will definitely call on Chris and refer my friends to him as a guide! Thank you Chris!!

5.00Fabulous 3 days in Switzerland with our guide, Chris Wilson. Our travels included Basel, Bern, Interlaken with breathtaking views of Jungfrau, Eiger and Minch Mountains. We took the lift to Schilthorn and experienced the flashback of the 007 James Bond To Live and Let Die movie that was filmed there! Interlaken charmed us with the incredible alpine views and watching the hang gliding as well as cheese fondue at dinner! We hiked under the Geissbach Falls and lunched at the best table overlooking the Falls at the Grand Hotel. Then we saIled to Brienz across the lake and went on to Lucerne, Each area Chris was highlighting some of the most memorable sights such as the The Lion Monument. Our last day included the the thundering Rhine Falls and the charming medieval town of Stein am Rhein before we drove to Zurich for our last evening. We highly recommend Chris Wilson of Typically Swiss Tours! He is an outstanding guide and very enjoyable to spend days with. An excellent driver (of his 6 passenger Mercedes van) with enormous expertise and he always has a Plan B just in case. When we initially contacted Chris after seeing his website last winter, he set up a zoom meeting with us to get to know us and what we would love to experience in Switzerland. Very smart! We explored mountains with breathtaking views and crystal blue green lakes and amazing thundering waterfalls and charming flower adorned villages. Stopping for lunch we often had the table with the fabulous view as Chris knows the staff of so many places. 5.00Lunch at the top of Pilatus was amazing. The sun was out and you could see for what seemed like forever in every direction. Th Interlaken area was also spectacular, especially the Grand Hotel Giessbach! Chris was very knowledgeable and accommodating as far as all the different thing to see and do. There is nothing better than local knowledge. I would strongly recommend Chris for anyone wanting to get a really good look at Switzerland.
