  Where to begin!! What an amazing, unforgettable day we had in Batam all thanks to John and this tour! We booked this tour the night before from Singapore and everything went so smoothly. John, our guide, greeted us at the ferry port and took us on a once in a lifetime day through Batam. From the unforgettable cultural experience, to the amazing fresh seafood lunch, to all the beautiful sites we saw, to the delicious coffee we tasted and finally the wonderful massage!! I can’t say enough about this tour, i’d do it again and again! John made this tour so great , we felt safe, informed and treated like royalty. I had broke my sneakers and John went out of his way to help get me new sneakers!! It was one for the books, we have been smiling ear to ear since we have returned from Batam.   A full day immersion into Batam. We enjoyed the attention of the personal guide and driver and the engaging conversation. The lunch was amazing! Perhaps the best massage that I have ever had. Highly recommend this trip. Great value as well.

  We really did not know what to expect. The travel was easy with good instructions sent to us before the trip. A very friendly and knowledgeable guide shared not only the tour highlights but also details about life in Batam and its origins. Thank you so much, we laughed and learned at the same time. I have no rhythm when it comes to traditional dance; that was clear.

The Batam Culture and City Tour delivered the perfect blend of cultural discovery, relaxation, and amazing food. Everything—from the ferry arrangements to the guided stops—was smooth, organized, and stress-free. Our tour guide, Gunawan, was fantastic. He was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive, making the entire experience fun, engaging, and easy to enjoy. His explanations of Batam’s history and culture added so much depth to each stop. The massage included in the itinerary was wonderfully relaxing and professionally done—truly a highlight. And the fresh seafood lunch was exceptional: delicious, plentiful, and full of authentic local flavors. We were so impressed by the freshness and the generous portions. The tour pacing was perfect, with a great mix of cultural sights, photo spots, shopping, and downtime. Considering everything that’s included—fast ferry tickets, a skilled guide like Gunawan, a quality massage, and a huge seafood lunch—the value is unbeatable.   An exciting full day of the highlights of Bali. I toured on a holiday weekend which wonderful to see. Agung, was friendly and knowledgable wiling to share the history of his culture with me. Nothing was too much bother for him.

• Easy, Relaxing Day Trip

  Easy day trip from Singapore that was informative, relaxing and delicious! Tour guide provided easy, detailed instructions for our ferry ride from Singapore , getting through immigration, and meeting points. Our guide/driver/freelance photographer, Agus, met us at the port in Batam and was friendly, helpful and shared information about the island and its people. Memorable experiences include the stop at Saung Budaya Batam where we were greeted by lively music and beautiful dancing. It was fun playing the angklung as a group and making music! The seafood lunch, right on the water with a view of the Barelang Bridge was delicious and filling - shellfish, shrimp, crab, fish, sautéed greens, rice, fruit, and coconut juice. Last but not least was the 90 minute massage! Just what our bodies needed! Would have loved to see an option for 120 minutes or a half day tour for pampering but still happy at the end. Overall, highly recommend if you have the time and have a desire to see even a small part of Indonesia. Note, this tour starts in early morning and you return closer to 9pm - so might be a long day.

  A fantastic day seeing the highlights of BATAM. The seafood lunch was amazing. Special thanks to Agus our guide who was friendly, helpful and professional throughout the trip. Highly recommend.
