A fun day, enjoyed the countryside and the stories our Guide, David told us. The Bamboo train was fun, the restaurant was very good. Lovely Tom Yam soup. The bats were amazing. 😉

Great trip to some amazing places. The bamboo train was great fun. The killing cave was very sobering and the bats a true wow moment. Our guide was very passionate. My only criticism is that there were 8 people on the tour and the tuk tuk in my opinion comfortably housed 6. In the extreme heat it was a little uncomfortable and squashed.

Such a wonderful experience, you get to see temples, a killing cave, millions of bats at sunset, ride on the bamboo train, taste BBQ rat and learn about the local history of Battambang and origins of its name. Ensure you bring enough funds for the bamboo train ($5), lunch and drinks ($5), and some smaller amounts for ice cream, beer, and some bathrooms. Samol, the guide and his driver, will provide plenty of bottled water. Prepare for a bumpy ride especially going out to the countryside. It was a long tour (almost 8 hours), I felt it could have been much shorter if there were less stories and history given. Overall lots to see and do, and is a great value.

I went on this tour to ride the bamboo train and I really enjoyed that. I thought my guide Somal was hard to understand - he spoke very quickly and only said half of most words. I was disappointed because I had read other reviews which were so positive. I also enjoyed the rat tasting, something I never would have done in a million years. I think the tour could be shorter - we were at the temples too long waiting for the “sunset”.

I loved the tour especially because of the amazing tour guide Sam. He speaks such good English and has so much really interesting Informations all the time. He makes the tour real fun and he is such a lovely guy. I learned a lot and had a really good day. Would do it again next time I‘m in Battambang!
