5.00The trip with Alin we enjoyed. We asked many questions that were answered in detail. Alin accompanied us in the reception station and in the castle. It was a nice half-day trip that was tailored to us, so to speak.
The bear sanctuary is a must-do whilst in Brasov

5.00Really enjoyed the bear sanctuary - very moving but also uplifting to see the bears living out their lives in safety. (Better than the wild bear watching experience for us - more authentic.) Bran castle was interesting too - very busy though so not for those who dislike crowds! Those with poor fitness/mobility would also struggle as it’s up a steep slope and has numerous narrow, winding staircases once inside. There is a small market outside which is good for souvenir shopping. Overall a good trip and our guide, Alin, was very responsive beforehand and informative during the tour.

5.00What a great day. Alin, our tour guide was a delight. Very helpful and informative (not just about the tour, but also about all aspects of life in Romania) and he went above and beyond to give us a great experience. So much so that we booked three other tours with him (bear watching - one of the best things I’ve ever done …., the Transfagarasan Highway…and Sighisoara). The bear sanctuary is amazing. Some emotional stories about the history of the bears, but they are living out their lives in the best place. What beautiful animals…and the guide that takes you round is so passionate about them. We then went to Bran castle. I was the only one of the four of us that wanted to visit inside the castle (it’s a steep climb!) so Alin showed the others where to spend some time and he then gave me a personal tour of the castle. We would thoroughly recommend you book with Alin. You will be pleased you did!
