5.00This was way more fun than it should've been. Right from the beginning we're greeted with exceptional enthusiasm from the two allstar instructors. They were upbeat, positive and hilarious. These are two gentlemen who take their craft very seriously and know how to have fun. My friend and I were the only participants that day, so we got very personal experience with both Takeshi-san and Kazuya-san. After some brief training, we moved to the beautiful temple setting outside and both my friend and I wished we would've done our lines differently, either more dramatic or funnier, and decided to turn it up next time. And there will be a next time!

5.00This experience was absolutely the highlight of our trip to Kyoto! Our expert instructors, Tamura-San & Kazuya-San gave us an exciting, yet accessible lesson filled with spirit. The program is designed for success, and if you enjoy samurai movies or historic Japanese tales, this is experience not to be missed. The instructors are indeed skilled working action film pros! It’s a great activity for couples. And, while I booked this experience primarily for my husband…I had a blast, too! 😊 If you’re staying in Gion, give yourself extra time to travel to the training building near a historic temple. If you’re returning to the central area of Kyoto, don’t miss Bar Red Tails to celebrate your achievements. 1000 thanks! It was a perfect memory.
