Beijing is an interesting city, definitely worth seeing, experiencing, and discovering. In this, we were helped by a wonderful person, Chiara, or rather Chen Shuang. She accompanied us, supported us with her kindness, her smile, and her professionalism. Moreover, she did not limit herself to guiding us to the most iconic places in the capital, but she made us experience Chinese daily life, from the subway to the market, to the beautiful "Bird's Nest" stadium. In short, with her, we felt extremely pampered, calm, and above all understood... she speaks Italian exceptionally well. Maria Grazia, Mirella, Massimo, Paola

First time in China. We spent five days in Beijing the company arranged everything for us, . Beijing is a beautiful, marvelous diverse and exciting City. Serena the guide and Mr Cui, the driver went far and beyond to pamper us and make the best of our time visiting. For example I commented I like biking and when we they took us to the Olimpic Park and rode a bike. :) I loved it all. Tian'amen Square, the Forbiden city, great Wall. Temple of heaven. The chance of experiencing a complete Chinese Pharmacy and AI evaluation of health and even an appointment with a Chinese doctor and the making of our own medicine was quite an experience. Planning to visit Beijing? Ask for Serena.

First time booking with China Highlights has been smooth from start to finish. It was a pleasure dealing with our advisor Camilla. She responded promptly to our questions and wanted to make sure that we enjoyed our first visit to China. Our five-day tour in Beijing went very well, thanks to our guide, Lily Liu. We immediately bonded with her and were impressed with her punctuality, attention to our needs and knowledge. She included a visit to see the pandas (which was not in the tour plan). It was a lot of fun and we all appreciated this extra attraction. Lily also connected with her colleague Peter in Shanghai who was picking us at the train station. A big shout-out to Zhang Shi Fu who drove us around safely and comfortably. In all, we are happy to recommend China Highlights!

My wife and I decided nine months ago to organize what might be our last big trip; we are 68 and almost 74 years old. After looking through many options, we decided that a private trip just for the two of us was the best choice. I studied the reviews of many agencies, and among all of them, we chose Chinahighlights. Their advisor, Loreto Zhang, contacted us via WhatsApp, showing empathy from the very first moment, being attentive to our suggestions, recommending what was possible and convenient, and advising against things we should not book, choosing dates, hotel recommendations, visits, etc. The process was quick and transparent, and the information was detailed. We will book the trip, and three days ago we started our journey to China. The reality is that everything has been easier than what one can read and see online about traveling to China. Today is our third day in Beijing, and tomorrow we will depart for Xi'an. Loreto has been attentive since we landed to ensure that our first contact with our guide, Carmen, took place. Carmen welcomed us, and her first words after the greeting were to resolve any issues before taking us to the hotel, in a car driven by Mr. Wan, the best driver one could wish for to get from one place to another in the complicated traffic of Beijing. Mr. Wan has shown us in just three days that he is an excellent person. Carmen has been with us at all times. Yesterday we were at the Great Wall of Mutianyu; during lunch, she helped us choose the dishes, then she took us to see the Olympic Stadium, etc. We strolled through Shichahai, visited the hutongs, the Drum and Bell Towers, a bookstore, a Siheyuan, and a family's home. She organized perfect routes; we walked, used the subway, and also the car driven by Mr. Wan, who came to pick us up wherever Carmen indicated. Wherever we were, Carmen commented on the customs and characteristics of each place. No one could be more attentive than she was to ensure our visit was perfect. We never felt that we were behind schedule or that we were not fulfilling our planned visits; everything is at our pace, adapted with the invaluable help of Mr. Wan and his car. Today we visited the Forbidden City, and Carmen managed to turn a visit that could have been tedious in the heat into something pleasant with her comments. At the end, before climbing Jingshan Hill, at our request, we stopped to rest and have some refreshments. She adapts the visits to our needs without the feeling of having to arrive at a specific time. We had Peking duck and other characteristic dishes of Beijing cuisine. Carmen managed everything perfectly, and the food was excellent, leaving us with a good memory of the typical dishes of Beijing. On the way to lunch, we learned about President Trump's arrival in Beijing, causing a monumental traffic jam and closed streets, but everything was resolved by Carmen and Mr. Wan. After lunch, we went for a walk in the Summer Palace, ending with a stroll down Qianmen Street, where we tried Tanghulu. To end the day, Mr. Wan took us to the hotel. For tomorrow, they have already arranged our last day in Beijing, which was disrupted by President Trump's visit. We will go to the Lama Temple and the Beijing Zoo before heading to Xi'an in the afternoon. We are starting to feel nostalgic thinking about saying goodbye to Carmen and Mr. Wan. We will continue to share each stage of the trip, both the positive aspects and any negative ones that may arise. But for now, I can only say that choosing Chinahighlights has been a success because of the people we have met.
