Mutianyu Great Wall

The Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing, China. It is about 70 kilometers away from the center of Beijing. It takes about 1.5 hours to drive there. The Mutianyu Great Wall has a long history. It was first built during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty and was supervised and constructed on the site of the Great Wall of the Northern Qi Dynasty. It integrates the construction wisdom of different eras and is a microcosm of the history of Great Wall architecture and the military defense system in China. The Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area is characterized by its overlapping mountains and a vegetation coverage rate as high as 96%, making it a natural oxygen bar. The scenery varies with the four seasons. In spring, the mountains are ablaze with flowers; in autumn, the forests are ablaze with colors; and in winter, the Great Wall is covered with snow, resembling a Chinese ink-wash painting.

Linda is an amazing guide! I went with a group of 5 friends. The price is perfect for comfortable transport to the wall. The ride pick up was reliable, on time, comfortable and clean. She helped us up to the wall so we didn’t have to worry about tickets or translations. And on the return home she brought us to a lovely tea house ceremony. She is friendly, smart, and welcoming and we all had a great experience, free of hassle and worrying.

Definitely do go early as there is no ques and photo opportunities with no one on the Wall is great 👍 🙂 Went up on the chairlift and came down on the Toboggan. Must do it lol I nearly didn't and so happy I did. You get your photo taken when you are near the end and going up on the Chairlift. Tea House experience was great. Purchased a lovely tea cup and many teas. Highly recommend Linda and Ruby, thank you so much ❤️ 😊 🙏 😘

I would recommend her to anyone who wants a friendly and reliable driver who knows good English. She was punctual, friendly, and professional. She was also very accommodating We finished at the Great Wall earlier than expected and she took us to a few other spots to experience the Chinese culture. The van was very clean and spacious and had an air conditioner.

Travelling to London from our holidays in Thailand we had a stop over 24h in Beijing. We chose to explore the city and see the Great Wall. After reviewing the Tripadvisor, we discovered Linda Beijing Tour and after brief exchange of emails with Linda, we booked our trip. Our aim was to see the Forbidden City, Great Wall and visit at least one Tea House. We used a pick up service upon arrival into Beijing. We had an English speaking driver for our day trip.The car was clean and nice, the communication great and the value terrific. Wang our driver was fantastic! We enjoyed the conversation and he took a good care of us by stopping at clean bathrooms, organizing our tickets, even coming to the top of the wall to show us which direction to go. We asked Wang to stop at the local shop so we could purchase more tea. On the way to the airport we stopped at reasonably priced restaurant off a touristic place. Not a single complaint about our experience with Linda’s service. Highly recommended. We are very sorry that we haven’t had a chance to meet Linda in person ... The meeting is set for the next time in the not too distant future. Don't wait long, just book a trip :)
