What To Expect
It is a cocktail adventure about Chinese divination and magic. Before your trip, you’ll receive a personalized digital nightlife guide filled with insider tips: specialty-themed cocktails, you can make choices from LGBTQ+ friendly venues, and even academic bars where students from China’s top universities gathering. In our suggestion, the night will begin from an ancient bar, where you can try tarot readings or traditional Chinese Wuxing divination. You’ll get fortunate reading from Chinese wizards, and perhaps enjoy a cocktail specially crafted to bless you based on your reading. And then, you might go to a Chinese medical bar, where a real traditional doctor crafts a cocktail infused with medicinal herbs just for you. The cocktail is inspired by and made by magic Chinese medical. Two cocktail is included in the activity! If you'd like more drinks or want to treat your local friend, feel free to purchase additional ones on your own.

5.00Yue is so sweet and took us to a few different places I never would have found on my own. Lots of interesting drink options and good conversation :) we need beer in a bag here too! Going out at night as a woman travelling alone can be a little scary sometimes, but it felt totally safe in China and this was a good way to experience it. I do want to mention that some of the info currently on TripAdvisor is probably out of date. It mentions that this is a private booking, but it was actually a group tour, so if you are booking please expect others to be joining as well.

5.00Jen (or Yue if you know her Chinese name) was super fun to hang out, and very professional in putting together a specially curated and very local experience based on your specific preferences and inclinations! As I don’t drink much and was more interested in local cuisine and the tea culture, she recommended some really awesome places with a great menu, and also this teahouse which was a hidden gem in Beijing. She continually updates her recommendations based on what she observes and asks of what you like, which really made the recommendations very spot on. You can also ask her anything and she’ll try her best to help, which is super helpful for those coming to China for the first time - I loved hanging out and can’t wait to be back in Beijing to meet up again!

5.00I’m traveling solo and this experience was just what I needed. I felt total safe and welcomed, and got to meet some very interesting locals. We went to bars I’d never have found myself, and the vibe was relaxed. If you want to see the real Beijing after dark, not the touristy version, book this experience.

5.00I visited a few bars with really unique themes, mixing traditional Chinese ideas with modern cocktails. I don’t usually care much about fortune telling, but it was actually really interesting to see how it’s turned into a bar experience here. The best part was meeting locals and having real conversations. It showed me a side of Beijing nightlife I never would have found on my own. I felt comfortable the whole time and would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling solo.

5.00This experience was one of the highlights of my time in Beijing. Yue was warm, funny, and very easy to talk to. Her English is excellent, which made everything relaxed and natural. We went to several places that I would never have discovered by myself, and each one had a different atmosphere. It was not rushed and felt very flexible depending on what I was interested in. If you’re traveling alone and want to see local nightlife without feeling awkward or unsafe, this is a great option.

5.00I met Hanna in the evening and we started with dinner together before going to a few bars. The food was great and we talked a lot about life in China, culture, and travel. What I liked most was that it didn’t feel scripted. The night flowed very naturally and we could stay longer in places we liked. I learned a lot about Beijing youth culture and daily life just by chatting. It was a really enjoyable and memorable night, and I would happily do it again if I come back.

5.00Couple of weeks ago I reached out to Bridge to Locals directly to try something different during my time in Beijing, and it turned out to the best choice I made during my trip. We went for a mix of places, from tucked-away bars with creative cocktails to spots that blended local culture with a modern twist - one place even had traditional Chinese fortune telling! I didn’t expect to enjoy it so much; it added something really special to the trip. I had so much fun that when I got back to Beijing this time I booked another trip with them on Tripadvisor. That probably says it all!

5.00I had a great nightlife experience in Beijing with Yue. The whole night was fun and was great because it showed a side of local culture that I definitely wouldn't have found on my own. We went to a few places that mixed traditional Chinese elements, like acupuncture-inspired fortune telling with modern cocktail bars. I don't believe in the fortune telling but was fun and really interesting from a cultural point of view. The people made the night even better. I met some very interesting locals with great conversations and it felt comfortable the entire time! Such a great experience and so glad I did it.
