This was a very interesting trip to places in Paris that were unfamiliar to me. Our guide, Lucia was excellent. She appropriately paced the tour to our small group and was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. Highly recommend.

Had a fantastic time eating our way through the neighborhood with Lucia. She was a very knowledgeable guide and delightful host. It was a great way to have a view of Paris off the tourist path. Loved every minute. Still thinking about a few of the treats we experienced as well. Don’t want to give away the surprises, though. If you are looking for another window into Paris with some good eats along the way - then do book it without hesitation. This was our third Culinary Backstreets tour and we have never been disappointed.

Susan was phenomenal and is so very knowledgeable. The tour was fascinating and the food so interesting. Not the usual stereotypical Parisian food at all

I've been to Paris several times in fact this year it would be four times. My brother lives in Paris and I was looking for something different and new to explore. I frequent only 3 places in the 11th Arr. and it just so happens we ate at the one of those restaurants I have gone to. Susan, our guide, did order items I don't normally order which was fine. The Algerian pastries, the croissant place and cheeses were fine too. I was hoping to see more in the 20th arr. but the market was too busy, the cookies were nothing new to me but the cafe/bar at the end was a nice touch. For me, the price of the tour did not reflect my expectation on new discoveries on food selections (but we were very full). Our guide, however, was very good and there were a few factoids and tips that she shared that were helpful.

My partner and I had a lovely time walking around Paris with Susan, who took us to several delicious spots. We enjoyed banh mis, a Tunisian fried pastry and hibiscus juice, among many, many other treats. The dishes were a mix of typically French foods - various cheese, baguette, croissant - as well as those from France's former colonies. Susan was very knowledegable, particularly about wine, and was a great host, keeping the conversation going and making everyone feel welcome. The tour lasted several hours, but it had a decent mix of walking and sitting so that we were never too tired, and while we were full, we didn't eat so much that we were uncomfortable after.

Guide was a professional chef who expertly guided us through a unique area of Paris where the places that we visited are owned by immigrants who are giving their home dishes a Parisian flair. Really delicious food.
