MATRIX Power boat is 16 meters long (53ft) and has a maximum capacity of 50 people. You will have the opportunity to see the coast and visit the famous caves starting from the Marina of Albufeira and passing in front of the areas of Galé, Senhora da Rocha, Marinha until Benagil. We will go inside the most famous caves along the coastline and will give you important and detailed information about different spoits along the trip. Then we will cruise away from the coast and look for dolphins in the wild. If the weather allows, we will make a quick stop so you can have a refreshing swim in the ocean.
With a friendly and well-instructed crew that will help and guide you along the cruise to make sure you have the best experience of your vacations!
Our trip ends back at Albufeira Marina.
For safety reasons, children under 3 years old are not allowed on this trip.

During the cruise, we will search for dolphins and show you the coastline where you will be able to see some beautiful rock formations and Benagil cave in between other caves, and also some beaches like the very famous Marinha beach.

5.00This was the best day we could ask for. The guides were great. (Miguel, Johnny and Jerome) we saw wild dolphins swimming around with newborns. It was amazing. The Caves are beautiful and I highly recommend this tour from Algarve Charters.

5.00We went on the dolphin spotting and cave tour at the end of August 2025. The check in process was quick and easy, and there was somewhere to leave our stroller as we weren’t able to take it on board. There was also some lockers to store any belongings, although we didn’t do that. The tour was 2.5 hours long and we were supposed to visit the caves on the coastline, spot dolphins and have a stop for swimming. When we boarded, the crew welcomed us warmly. The boat was very clean and well maintained. They left promptly from the port, albeit delayed by a few minutes because of late passengers. But they made a joke about it and accommodated them which I thought was good. They even provided some jackets for the children on the boat to ensure they weren’t feeling cold once we got moving. On the tour, unfortunately we didn’t manage to spot any dolphins. This was really disappointing for us because it was what we were most looking forward to, with two young children. However, they are wild animals so it isn’t the fault of the crew / company. And because they were out trying to look for dolphins for a while, we also didn’t have time to stop for a swim. When we visited the caves, Dana was very knowledgeable, explaining in both Portuguese and English. She also took a lot of photos for our family. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend this tour and company as the crew were all brilliant!

1.00Quite possibly the worst customer service possible. We booked this trip 24 hours in advance and turned up on time. We were met by two surly faced and disinterested members of staff who just said "cancelled." When asked what she meant, she just shrugged her shoulders and said again it's cancelled. She couldn't be less interested in us. She then went on to say she couldn't refund us our money and we'd have to return to the shop in Albufeira where we bought the trip. We provided our phone number at the time of booking but no one thought it would be a good idea to ring us to say it had been cancelled. Make a booking if you're feeling brave but I'd strongly suggest you use a different organisation to avoid disappointment.
