What To Expect
Osum Canyon (Kanioni i Osumit)
We start to travel to Osumi Canyons by minivan. It is about a 60 km drive and takes 1,5 - 2 hours with a short break. Start point? Your guide will collect you from Berat city close to your hotel. Finish point? At the end of your trip you will be returned to Berat city close to your hotel. No previous experience is needed, however a moderate level of fitness is required along with the ability to swim. Each visitor should wear: - bath suit - old sneakers or sandals - sport’s wear (T-shirt, sportive trousers) You should take with yourself - towel - warm clothes to be changed - old sneakers or sandals to change at the end of the trip

5.00Great experience! Bravo and professional Wendi who with great sympathy guided us in this beautiful path. Transfer in line with the Albanian roads the driver, when I asked to go a bit 'quieter', softened the drive and was very good. Lunch in a lovely valley with local food. The only small note to the equipment a bit worn, especially the shoes; but, being late summer, it can be understood. But watch out for footwear because they are fundamental in the path.

5.00You are picked up in Berat, coach trip of 1.5h approx, you arrive at the base and give you the equipment, after 5min more coach arrive at the canyon where the activity begins, some super friendly and friendly guides who tell you everything along the way, is fun, entertaining, has 3 points where you can jump, they are simply 3h approximately of fun! You make a small stop where they offer you tea or coffee, cookies and a piece of fruit! They have the detail to make photos and videos that then pass you on WhatsApp! If you take the experience with food on the way back you get stopped at a restaurant and the menu is super complete. Activity 100% recommended if you go to Berat!

5.00The outing was easy and organized correctly. The taste was not great but did us good anyway (tea/coffee/dry cookie). They take pictures for us and send them the next day. It's still beautiful even if you don't do a great trick.

The hike was very well organized, with everything taken care of – transportation there and back, clothing, water, snacks, even shoes can be borrowed (though I recommend bringing your own water shoes). The canyon views are stunning, and the refreshing river is a true relief on a hot summer day. A heartfelt thank you to the guides – you are amazing! Every kilometer, every turn, every stop was carefully thought out. In some spots, you wouldn’t even think you could jump off a cliff, but the guides showed us exactly where it was safe, always jumping first themselves. Sometimes it was a bit scary, but so much fun! And finally – throughout the whole trip, the guide took lots of photos and videos at every stop and jumping spot, capturing our most memorable moments. Thank you for this amazing experience – I highly recommend taking the full package! Enjoy!

5.00Unforgettable! Driven a van to Osumi. It took 1.5 hours but it was definitely worth the drive. Beautiful nature, partly walked on stones and partly through the water. Sometimes swimming. And jump off cliffs into the water. Very nice experience! And the guides took pictures that we have now been able to download. Top

5.00With 4 (almost) adult children I did this riverhike. What a great experience! Although there are more people walking through the river, the distance is so great that you hardly see anyone. The rocks are overwhelmingly large, nature beautiful. You can jump from high rocks during the walk. Everything is well supervised. If you don't feel like it, just climb down the rocks. This makes the riverhike easily accessible to (almost?) everyone. For us it was very relaxing. Walking on the boulders, letting the current of the river take you and enjoying the beautiful nature. Don't bring too much, because you leave all your stuff at the location, otherwise everything will get wet. You get wet suites, water shoes etc and the photos are taken by the crew. Afterwards there is a delicious lunch on a local terrace. Highly recommended!
