Climb the Castle Walls and see a view over the city, also inside the walls you will see the Church of the Dormition of St Mary in the castle quarter Berat. Also within the fortress is the Red Mosque, and St. Trinity Church.

5.00Berat is a lovely city of whitewashed buildings, nestled up the side of a mountain on both sides of a river. It’s very interesting to see the traditional Ottoman architecture. Our tour also included Berat castle and the museum of medieval icons, which were stunning. Our driver and tour guide Soni was wonderful. He was informative and an excellent driver.
