Within just ten minutes after leaving Bergen, we’re already out of the city and surrounded by beautiful scenery. A little later, the road follows the idyllic Osterfjord, with Osterøy — Northern Europe’s largest inland island — on the left-hand side. At the narrowest point of the fjord, you’ll spot the elegant suspension bridge that connects Osterøy to the mainland.
After about an hour on the road, we arrive at the scenic Blåbærsletta. This is the perfect spot to stretch your legs, take a bathroom break, and—most importantly—soak in the views of the Fusafjord. We spend about 15 minutes here, enjoying a refreshing pause in nature’s embrace. From Blåbærsletta, we drive through beautiful fjord and mountain scenery towards the Hardangerfjord. On narrow roads, we pass lush valleys and charming small villages, where you can catch a glimpse of local life. Keep your eyes open for the many waterfalls plunging down the mountainsides—an impressive sight that truly shows the power of nature. As we get closer to the Hardangerfjord, the landscape gradually opens up, offering wide panoramic views across the fjord.

Be prepared for all weathers. We had sunshine, snow, hail and rain all in the same day. It was a fantastic experience. Absolutely beautiful scenery. So glad we decided to go.

What a fantastic trip. The trip was small with 12 people and two guides! Julia ans Nils were fantastic. They gave us lots of information and looked after us all day. The trip to Rosandal for lunch was great with a ferry crossing and a couple of stops. Lunch at Elins cafe in Rosandal was wonderful. Elins is a great chef and baker and a lovely host. The walk to the lake was beautiful and well worth the effort when you got to the Bondhus lake! The views were amazing. The final stop at the waterfall where you could was underneath was brilliant. All in all a great day out with lovely guides and friendly people.

I have taken 100s of excursions but this was unique. Not only was the itinerary breathtaking throughout, our guide Julia was a local and she gave her all! She meticulously shared key points in short segments through the journey. And the most delightful was how she wove in music compositions and Norwegian bands during different segments of the tour - perfect match! We took two ferries, ate authentic Norwegian lunch at beautiful island, let two gorgeous waterfalls sink into our day, hiked through a serene easy path to the glacier lake, and took time of pictures. The public restrooms are so so clean… well paced and creatively designed tour.

I had a fantastic experience on the Bondhus tour - everything about the day was just right. A special thank you to our guides, Julia and Nils, who were truly excellent. They set a comfortable pace throughout the tour and shared plenty of interesting insights along the way, which made the whole experience both relaxing and informative. You can really tell they care about what they do. Also, a big shout out to our driver for getting us safely back to Bergen - much appreciated! Overall, a perfectly organized and enjoyable trip. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

One of the highlights of our trip to Norway ! The perfect full day experience. Our tour guide Alexandra was great. Very organized and had interesting information to share along the way. She let us know the itinerary every step of the way. We stopped at a lovely ,quaint restaurant for delicious homemade soup, bread and a cinnamon roll , tea and coffee. They even had gluten free bread and dessert if requested beforehand. We stopped at 2 different waterfalls and the ferry ride to the hike added to a great and very scenic day. The hike was great. Just the right hije distance to get to a beautiful lake with incredible views. Alexandra, our tour guide was always on hand to take pictures. I was the slowest person in the group and she patiently stayed behind to make sure we all got to the lake safely. She let me take my time without feeling rushed. Our ride back had a stop at another beautiful waterfall: Our driver was great too. Always with a smile ! There were plenty of bathroom stops and places to get snacks and drinks. One of the highlights of our trip to Norway. Would highly recommend. We came back with incredible photos and memories!

Tour was very well put together and the scenery was gorgeous. Lunch was a great experience in an authentic Norwegian cafe. Our guide Maritha gave us a lot of information about the Bergen area and wider Norway. The walk to the lake was on a well made gravel path and could be done at your own pace. All other stops were easily accessible.

Excellent one day trip for us, started from Standkaien all the way from Bergen... we travelled till bondhus lake, with a minimal hike to the glacier and waterfalls. Lunch at rosendal was good and we even got a vegetarian option... so really happy about that...the two small cruises through the fjords.. with so many waterfalls around were just amazing. Most importantly..our tour guide "Jan" made the experience special. I always want to learn about the country and its culture when I visit and he shared so much about Norsemen history, how kingdoms were built, the wars they fought and how Norway manages its economy so well today. ..He also explained about their industries, how they generate electricity, their food habits, dressing styles and even musical instruments... along the route, he pointed out the different house colours and explained why they are painted that way, how small villages still follow old traditions, and how people live in harmony with nature despite the harsh weather.... He also shared stories about local life, seasonal changes and how traditions are still preserved in these remote areas....Honestly, it felt like a full cultural journey along with the trip.We saw that his enthusiasm and effort to share their culture with tourists made us feel very very good. He actually kept us entertained with his words throughout the day. The day started with rain and we were a bit worried, but it ended in such a fantastic way... The waterfalls, the hike to the lake, the lunch, the stories from the guide and in that weather and road conditions, the safe driving by "Erik" everything just came together perfectly. We loved it a lot 👍
