What To Expect
Checkpoint Charlie
Checkpoint Charlie was the most famous Berlin border crossing during the Cold War between East and West Berlin. Today, a replica of the control barracks recalls the dramatic history of the divided city. Numerous information boards and the Wall Museum impressively convey escape attempts, agent stories and political backgrounds of this time.
Topography of Terror
On the site of the former Gestapo and SS headquarters, the “Topography of Terror” documents the crimes of the Nazi regime. The impressive exhibition of photos, documents and audio evidence is located outdoors as well as in a modern documentation centre. An important place of remembrance and enlightenment.

5.00We did this tour in the middle of winter, with snow on the ground, and it was still an excellent experience. Our guide was thoughtful, knowledgeable and made everything feel safe and enjoyable despite the conditions. What really stood out was how the tour was tailored to us — especially engaging our teenage daughter and shaping the experience around her interests and Berlin’s history. It was a fantastic way to immerse ourselves in the city, its culture and its past, even in the cold. Highly recommend as an insightful and personal way to explore Berlin.

5.00Really fun and informative tour! Our guide Freis(?) was friendly and even took the time to snap a few photos for us. Segways are a great way to see the city. Make sure your comfortable with your balance if you’ve never ridden a Segway ;)

5.00We highly recommend City Riders Tours! Our guide Fais, a Berlin native, was deeply knowledgeable about all periods of Berlin’s complex history. The stops were well chosen, and the pacing was relaxed without dragging. In the summer, the passage through the wooded Tiergarten is an especially refreshingly cool, green break. Fais is patient and gracious—our tour group ended up having both Segway and bike tourists, and he integrated them seamlessly. Important historical knowledge is mixed with humorous points and pop-culture knowledge (such as spotting the hotel from which Michael Jackson infamously dangled an infant). A great tour all around.

5.00It was raining at the time that I signed up for my 2-hour Berlin Segway Tour, so I was the only one who showed up. The CityRiders operator honored his word nonetheless and proceeded to give me a private tour for the same price as the group tour that I initially signed up for. He was born and grew up in Berlin so had a wealth of knowledge of the city. I absolutely had a good time and would highly recommend this company for any Segway tour in Berlin!

The tour was well organized, the guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and we covered so many iconic sights without getting tired.
