Charent's Arch
On the way to village Garni we can stop at Charents Arch to enjoy a unique view of Mount Ararat. Charent's Arch is a monument and tourist attraction erected in 1975 and dedicated to the famous Armenian poet Yeghishe Charents. The monument is significant due to its view on Mount Ararat and Yerevan. (We can stop to take photos (optional))
Garni
Trip to Garni village (the journey will take approximately 1 hour). Garni is the only surviving pagan temple in Armenia. Built in the Hellenistic style in the 1st century by the Armenian King Trdat I. The complex was strategically built upon a promontory above high cliffs and surrounded by walls, making it a powerful fortress. We will stop for excursion and you will see: Garni pagane temple, Roman bath with a partly preserved mosaic floor, ruins of the medieval round church of St. Sion (approximately 1 hour)
