We had a wonderful experience walking throughout Bucharest's Old Town and former Communist built sector with Alina. She is Romanian and extremely knowledgeable about history and politics. She was able to answer our many questions and also provided us with great recommendations for what to do in our free time as well as restaurants. We have used private guides in many European cities and we would rank Alina among the best.

We had a great tour with our guide, Elena, booked via Viator. Only had a few hours in Bucharest and Elena showed us the key sights, including the huge Parliament building. She was very knowledgeable and we had a fascinating discussion about the history of Bucharest whilst visiting Revolution Square and walking the length of Victory Street. Highly recommended and communications with Viator were excellent.

Alina was a super wonderful guide. Exuberant, knowledgeable and entertaining. We were scheduled for what was called The Hidden Bucharest Tour. However, she modified this tour for us in many ways to make it more entertaining and interesting. She took us to many fascinating buildings in the Old Town area that were not scheduled on the original tour. If you are in Bucharest, seek her out. You’ll have a very enjoyable experience.

We had booked a Private Walking Tour with Alina based on her excellent reviews, and were blown away by her support and communication before the trip had even began! Due to unforeseen health circumstances we had to cancel the tour itself, but she was incredibly understanding and went the extra mile by supporting us with booking medical appointments, translating, liaising etc. - something that she absolutely did not have to do, but did so out of the kindness of her heart. If more people were as kind, efficient and proactive as Alina, the world would be a far better place! Thank you for showing us such generosity of time and thoughtfulness!

I booked through Civitatis with whom I had already done other tours in other capitals. Daniela the guide made us visit Bucharest looking at it from the eyes of the inhabitants. A wonderful and personal experience! Good, competent, engaging even with my teenage children. Highly recommended.
