Day 1 Nairobi –Samburu Game Reserve: Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive north to the semi-arid bush country of Samburu. On your way drive past large pineapple plantations, the Kenya fertile highlands and Equator .Samburu is in the northern frontier of Kenya. It is described to be majestic and to have rugged features. You will arrive in time for lunch at the Samburu Intrepid camp. An Afternoon game drive in this park which is famous for its endemic species. The Ewaso Nyiro River otherwise known as river of brown waters has made the place hospitable for the wildlife as it provides water to this and surrounding areas. The rare species include reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Grevy Zebra and Beisa oryx. Big cat like lion, cheetah and leopard can also be seen here. Sunsets at Samburu are spectacular offering a beautiful backdrop for you. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.
